After Blizzconn and the most recent Nintendo Direct I think everyone’s marketing and PR teams have seen how CDPR and the console holiday scarcity were handled and the name of the game in 2021 is “managing our expectations as best as possible and not overpromising anything they can’t deliver”

Deep dives on 10 games coming to PS4 and PS5... So I guess Returnal, Ratchet and Clank, Death Loop, a brief glimpse at GT7, a Horizon: Forbidden West main event, and end with another Ragnarok teaser among other things.

Horizon recently put out some BTS interviews and a partial voice cast on their IMDB page so maybe there will be some Forbidden West stuff. It's also around the fourth anniversary of ZD.

I gave up on Cyberpunk 2077 a few weeks after release and have been waiting to see what 1.2 actually offers before playing more side content. The game in its current state is still pretty broken. CP77 really ended up sucking.

The only possibly second would be another FromSoft game announced for the first time tomorrow. There's a lot of reticence by the general public (and some very weirdly biased reporting) about buying into VR but it is absolutely a viable and amazing experience *right now* and it will likely only keep getting better. It does need more games, though. And facebook's exclusivity sucks but revive makes it relatively painless to get around that when I've wanted to play something on their storefront, which is more than I can say for Sony.

I got an XBOX for the first time this gen and man has it made me cynical about the Bluepoint/ PS5 Upgrade stuff Xbox approach: Here's the PS2>PS5 catalog. Some of it is free. It all works and in many cases looks and runs better than it used to PS approach: Everything before the PS4 is dead. Buy it again for $70. Some PS4 games run better on the PS5, but sometimes you buy them again haha idiot

And this is an improvement on the PS3>4 transition which was "buy them again" for a limited set of games, and "they're dead forever" for the rest Seems to be Nintendo's strategy this gen too
