Saw this JP clip with content that none of the EN subbers have picked up yet as far as I can tell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDItYNJpANo Basically, Coco's going to have member-only chat in the foreseeable future, along with all collabs she joins. She even suggested to Fubuki before their Yacht collab to add her name to the banned words list to help curtail spam but Fubuki responded "I won't do that!" because that's kind of a crappy thing to have to do. She admits that her sub count has stagnated anyway so rather than try to convince new people to stay by leaving chat open and risk them being scared off by the spam or banned by accident, just leave it member's only for an overall more pleasant experience for everyone involved. However, she also theorizes that she hasn't been as entertaining recently due to always having to keep an eye out for spammers, so hopefully she can get back into the groove with that off her mind. It's not an ideal situation, but unless Youtube overhauls their system or a handful of individuals have a sudden change of heart, it's probably the best way to handle things. She certainly hasn't given up, but concessions have to be made for the sake of her mental wellbeing.

I can't even imagine how broke-brained someone has to be to harass a bunch of young women playing videogames on the internet for half a year now and think to themselves "Yes, I am truly serving my country.
