Skwirl posted:You hire Rob Liefield to make a 12 issue comic series you get four issues over a 2 year period and then he starts working on something else. Much like J. Michael Straczynski. Christ, his run on Superman was terrible, and the only good thing about Grounded was the absolute body slam Mark Waid gave him when Straczynski decided to get catty about the sales of Spider-Man after he left that book.

4:3 is a better ratio for Christ imagery, it’s hard to frame the nails in Superman’s hands and feet at the same time in 16:9 or wider

There are so many aggressive anti-maskers here in Madison that it drives me loving nuts. And there's still no way in loving hell that I'm eating at a restaurant anytime soon; I've seen how places have done their outdoor seating and no one's wearing a mask and those tables are not six feet apart. I'll stick to delivery and just eating poo poo I make myself at home.

SHIELD season 5 spoilers So they’re in the future, trying to get back to the past to fix whatever happened to make this future happen. Except they keep splitting up and going out of their way to help people in this future. Why? If they go back and fix things none of this happens and it’s likely most of these people don’t exist. Seems like a stupid waste of time

Around here, "outdoor" dining means you're dining inside, but it's a rickety shack or tent instead of insulated walls, probably heated by propane-burning stands. That's it, that's the only difference. It goes beyond any plausible degree of magical thinking that outdoor dining is safe and is just straight up "here's a loophole that lets us do it so we're doing it and we don't care about covid" and this is liberal bay area, not some redneck hick part of the state. We've been supporting the local restaurants that don't pull that poo poo, as much as we can, by buying takeout from them.

During PA's only real lockdown last Mar-Apr, the union business agents and leadership met with the signatory contractors on standards so that people could get back to work and stay at work. So, everyone agreed to get temp scanned before entering a jobsite and to wear their masks, no exceptions. Just one of those times that being a union shop worked out for everyone

While I generally like the DCEU movies, I wish they weren't as slavishly tied to comics lore and the naming conventions. Like, even Marvel Studios realized the "Cosmic Cube" was just a complete mouthful to say, so they renamed it the Tesseract for the movies. I wish DC had done the same with Steppenwolf. Like, I know he's been a DC villain in the comics since the '70s, but when people see or hear that name, their immediate reaction is to associate it with the band, not the Herman Hesse novel or the actual steppe wolf animal.

Honestly, I usually ask from a data standpoint. Other med goons may get this as well, but I get asked by folks what side effects people have had after the questioner got their shot, and it helps to hear from personal experience. My wife and I got Pfizer so I can answer to that and my sister in law had Moderna.
