I know beer bottles usually are coloured either brown or green to reduce UV exposure.

When you're a DM, there's something very pleasing about rolling a tungsten d100 behind a screen, after your players have attempted something. Plus, you get to fudge the results in case they're doing good, or punish them if they're being bad.

At our debrief I asked them what the scariest part of the game was. It was unanimous that the most nerve-racking, terrifying part of the game where they faced down eldritch horrors was being asked in a neutral voice, "So, do you close the door behind you?" Ever since then I always throw in one or two seemingly-mundane choices every adventure. Sometimes they are even actually mundane.
