They're not really built around star players that can take advantage of the extra space, it's 3 very solid forward lines and some not particularly flashy d-men save for Jeff Petry. And that's not necessarily a bad thing if they manage to make the playoffs. Any Pens fan can tell you about their stars masking glaring depth issues by dragging points out of OT only to make it to the playoffs and not be able to roll 3-4 solid lines and getting smothered
