Here's my guess: Duke obviously knows that Charlie got shot, and where, because he brought the left sneaker without asking or being told which one of the two to bring. Or he brought both of them, but he's being framed because of his bad-boy hat.

Classic Kevin & Kell (July 3-9, 2000)

First appearance: Saturday and Sunday strips. (Well, technically K&K started on a Sunday, but besides that it's been Mon-Fri until now.) The strip has reached its final form :getin:

Saturday strips are normal strips; Sunday strips are either one-off joke, or advance the plot of the weekday strips. It's more often the former, though. (I wonder if K&K was syndicated anywhere at some point? Because that's the usual way newspaper strips go about it.)

IIRC, K&K ran in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (Holbrook's hometown paper) for a while. I don't know for which years, though.

Kale is good. Why wouldn't rabbits like kale?

Kale can give rabbits gas issues. The only time I gave a rabbit a little kale, she wolfed it down and then let out noxious farts for ten minutes.

Of course, I think the comic is just going for a "kale is gross" joke.

Also, how the gently caress are you going to poo poo on Dustin's work ability, when you are failing at your loving job right at this very moment?

If I had to pick 3 strips that I need this thread for, it'd be Prince Valiant, old and new, Surgeon's Tales (Where the hell else am I going to find both a translation of that and someone explaining the missing stuff from a book that I'm not even sure is in English?), and a grab bag of Addams, Richard's Poor Almanac, Nekonaughey, etc.

Turns out, it is in English, in the public domain and everything, though naturally I can't speak to the accuracy of the translation.

Come on. Look at it and tell me what you see.

You've been reading the old panels with me for the past five thousand years. Should the Worry Wart dress in clothes that look clean and pressed and...um...actually fit? Or should he look like a bag of dirty laundry kissed by the Blue Fairy and given life? I know what my answer is.

I can't stay mad forever, though. Boyzendorgz are eternal. :3:

(February 13, 1971)
Seeing Willis nicely groomed and in midcentury attire is quite shocking enough. Even in the 30s his clothing was dated, more like pre-WW1, while kids still wear clothes kind of like panel that even today. The character models are distinctly more realistic as well.

One of the problems with continuing to draw Worry Wart so messy and ill-dressed is that by the 50's child protective services started being around to intervene in that kind of thing.
