went outside to see if my HOME PLANETARIUM got delivered yet, and it had not. went back inside to check the tracking history. delivered: 1:38pm. literally in the 2 minute period between me getting back to my computer and looking, it got delivered

We’re on vacation this week and as such have been eating massive amounts of take out. Tonight’s meal was a massive meatball parm sandwich on toasted focaccia from a local place and it was probably the best meatball sandwich I’ve ever had. Looking forward to revisiting the leftovers for breakfast.

It's deep fried chicken chunks with almost the same sauce as that, except a little spicier and a wider variety of vegetables. As with most take out Chinese places, pretty much every one you order from is gonna do it slightly different but that's the gist of it. It's got more going for it than orange chicken or other 'deep fried and then sauced' chicken options imo just in terms of flavor level and different stuff in it.

Here's my asian pork roast I said I'd make today. With jazzed up collards, mashed potatoes. The juice is pot likker from the greens. The roast is done with a home made asian marinade and sous vide to 137.  Ignore the ugly counter, it's downstairs where I have a workstation to do some cooking and other experiment stuff, not my kitchen ones
