I am making a simple dish of baked cod with lemon/garlic/sage, and it is smelling v good right now. Not sure what we're having as a side dish, but probably a fancy salad and some sort of beans.

We did frozen cheese tortellini that I drained and then quickly sautéed in butter and garlic, topped with grated parm, and a side salad. Glass of Merlot to drink.

Pierce Brosnan as his dad was great, though. The entire movie was enjoyable, but yeah, they could have turned down the "Will Ferrell is being unlikeable again" factor a lot and it would not hurt it. I have always watched Eurovision when it happens, and fondly remember scoring sheets with fields for "ridiculous costume or prop". The movie filled that gap last year, and the songs were spot on. I assume it makes slightly less sense in the US.

It's Superbowl style huge, but simultaneously very niche and of mostly local interest, so that's fair. The best years are wild, though. I hope the next one after the pandemic brings out some of the tasteless flamboyance again; there's been too much streamlined competence lately.
