i have way way more scorn for my LOL FAKE NEWS cousins who went to MIAMI repeatedly to own the libs last year than the people who are a bit more on the cautious side i did go to a few restaurants last summer and even sitting outside i felt bad about it and decided do i really? want to eat out? this isnt cool. and just stopped going. then i went to a bar in november and realized no, no i absolutely do not want to be here these people are SCREAMING their lungs out drunk and loud and this was a mistake i desperately wanted human contact and was not being smart or prudent about it. i thought i was slowly going insane from isolation.

So my girlfriend has been sick for days. A test she took last week popped negative. She went to get a rapid test today, and they told her she doesn't qualify for a rapid test because she's had symptoms for so long? What the heck? She can just go somewhere else tomorrow but is that really a thing? I'm in bumfuck Michigan where I had to describe to my boss what a test is and why it's useful.

We were testing too much so now we're not testing as much so are numbers go down we have about 15 soon well be at 0

I'm in bumfuck Michigan where I had to describe to my boss what a test is and why it's useful. my county had multiple testing locations open for a decent part of the day, they're now down to one testing location open a total of like 4 hours a week, all during business hours. a person i know got a test after having some covid like symptoms like two months ago and never got his results back and when he finally got ahold of someone to ask about it they just told him they didn't process any of the tests from that day, maybe they got lost? e: also at the very beginning of this thing i heard arguments to the effect of "if you think you're sick don't get tested because if it isn't covid you just exposed yourself to a bunch of people who probably have it" and all the way through july i was hearing "nah don't bother getting tested we don't really have covid here" so i'm not sure testing was ever like a thing enough to really be helpful around here.
