Grilled/pan fried fish is about the only way I can eat it anymore. Have tried baked (yet?) but if it doesn't smell heavily of fish and is crispy, then sure! Does your recipe work for toaster ovens?

I'm buying lunch all this week (for reasons) and think I'll have the ginger "chicken" from the vegan Thai place, with a side of steamed broccoli. Rice? Rice.
Then I take a couple of packets of soy sauce and toss them in a tiny container so I don't have to buy it and have it go bad because I don't use soy very often.

that sounds yummy and the soy thing is appropriately thrifty but realtalk does soy sauce go bad? I've used soy from pretty ancient unrefrigerated bottles and lived to tell the tale

I like pickles/pickled things lots on their own but i really dislike them on sandwiches and stuff. Totally ruins a sandwich/burg for me if they put pickle on it, even if you remove it the taste remains.

Yes this also means i am not much of a bahn mi fan :/

It loses flavour and, once opened and in the fridge, will last for a couple of years. I use so little that an open take-out pack is good for up to three meals.

I've never had a bahn mi with pickles on it? Carrots, parsley and jalapenos definitely. Are pickles normally part of that sandwich?
