The cheat that gives them an advantage isn't about straight-line speed. It's about having additional downforce in corners without having to sacrifice straight line speed. Isn't it?

By that I mean, normally you have to choose between them. The cheat means you can have your cake and eat it.

There's a difference between naked corruption(it's not just wining and dining) and just bullshit business marketing poo poo to me.

But yeah sure, I'm not about to sit here and even have the appearance of defending F1's bullshit.

So yeah, your're right that is extremely bad.

I think Red Bull and its drivers points should be scrubbed for any races they used that wing.

Merci, chaton!
Ha, you hardly even need the grid lines to see the wing lowering as the speed picks up. Mind you, there was that year when Red Bull's front wing endplates were visibly dropping towards the ground under load despite Horner's usual whiny "we passed all the FIA tests" bullshit and I don't remember anything coming of it, so

The price of greatness is responsibility.
Listening to last weekend’s radio engineer chatter and I am really enjoying how Tsunoda’s engineer seems to be dripping with contempt when he talks to him. “Yuki, calm down. Okay?!” I wonder if Yuki will be out of F1 before Mazepin.

IM SO BAD AT ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT F1 IN ANY MEANINGFUL WAY SOME DUDE WITH TOO MUCH FREE MONEY WILL KEEP CHANGING IT UNTIL I SHUT THE FUCK UP OR ACTUALLY POST SOMETHING THAT ISNT SPEWING HATE/SLURS/TELLING PEOPLE TO KILL THEMSELVES
The actual legality aside I think it does raise some questions over how closely the FIA actually are looking at if any car conforms to the rules given some offhand comment from a driver over something as visible as the front wing prompted this whole change of approach.

'They pass the tests' hasn't been an acceptable get out since the last time Red Bull and others were caught constructing wings to pass the tests but flex in race. But the FIA are dunces who couldn't manage to design a fuel flow sensor that wasn't trivially easy to bypass by the idiots at Ferrari.

It beggars belief that they still can't devise a reliable test to catch wings flexing, a thing some random youtuber has shown with the incredibly complex process of overlaying gridlines and looking.
