HM: Christian Cage vs Matt Sydal HM: Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley vs The Acclaimed MOTYC: Serena Deeb vs Red Velvet HM: Young Bucks vs Varsity Blonds From AEW Dynamite 5/19/21. People have already covered the greatness of 3 of these matches, but I also REALLY liked Eddie and Mox taking on the Acclaimed. It's not a match of the year or anything, but it was fun and Eddie and Mox's chemistry is amazing. Eddie perfectly plays the weird friend who keeps saying he'd murder someone if you need them to, it's great.

AJPW Champion's Night Shinkiba EXTRA May 21st HM Total Eclipse (Koji Doi and Kuma Arashi) vs Shotaro Ashino and Ryuki Honda - Simply cannot go wrong with a bunch of beefy boys hitting each other hard and throwing each other about. I continue to be impressed by Ryuki Honda, and Doi/Kuma is my favourite Total Eclipse pairing Total Eclipse (Hokuto Omori, Jake Lee, and TAJIRI) vs Evolution (Hikaru Sato, Dan Tamura, and Suwama) - Got me hyped up for Lee/Suwama, with the added bonus of seeing Sato throw some real sweet kicks at Omori. Also Tajiri was there, hanging out in the main event, as is his wont That ancient ref needs to go however, he's so drat slow on the counts. Give me more Nikkan Lee

Kaito should do more blood. Once he got to playing in the blood, I saw something of Misawa's violent legacy that's normally seen in Kenoh's matches. A dude in his happy spot, doing violence, the thing that makes him happy. Post-match emotion was great too. NOSAWA has been the sneakiest guy in wrestling forever because every dude he touches gets over like a motherfucker. And you never acknowledge it was NOSAWA. But yeah, great singles outing on a card that's meant to sell a bigger card down the road.

So the Terminal Combat gimmick is UWFi's rather arcane rules for 5 minutes then hardcore ko/sub until a finish. So the expectation is set how this match is supposed to go, since both guys are deathmatch wrestlers. What you get is two guys who are completely baffled by the rules and one almost losing to points. Props to the IWTV production crew for catching the snippets of banter between the competitors as they tried to work through the UWFi rules. Also the post match promo neatly tying everything together. Reed and JWM are def the aces of IWTV's collective scene and they're pretty relatable to a lot of midwesterners.

HM: HUB, Shisao & Eisa8 vs. Shota, FUMA & Mil Mongoose - Hana Kimura Memorial Show 5/23 This was really fun, and featured guys I've basically never seen before who all really impressed in-ring. There was a really nice diversity in size that changed up how and what they could (or should) do to each other and overall it just came together in a great package: really, really great as an opener to the show. Edit: HM: The All-Star Battle Royal - Hana Kimura Memorial Show 5/23 This was completely over the top and ludicrous and stupid and I loved every second of it, and it had the perfect winner. So many incredible wrestlers in this, so many fantastic little stories and interactions. MOTYC: Kagetsu, Hazuki, Konami, & Death Yama-san vs. ASUKA, Syuri, Natsupoi, & Mio Momono - Hana Kimura Memorial Show 5/23 The emotional background and the circumstances that lead to the match even happening at all lifts this up just that little bit higher than an HM, but the wrestling was also drat good and holy poo poo Kagetsu hasn't lost a step since she her retirement. So many cool spots/moments it does make it feel like this could be the start of further rivalries or developments, and while that probably won't happen given the unique circumstances, it's a match well worth going out of your way to see. Don't read below unless you want to be spoiled! MOTYC: Kagetsu vs. ASUKA in an impromptu Main Event - Hana Kimura Memorial Show 5/23 Out of nowhere ASUKA challenged Kagetsu to a singles match, the retired Kagetsu accepted, they asked Hana's mother for permission and for the approval of the Korakuen crowd, got both, and then proceeded to have a fantastic match that absolutely nobody was expecting or could have dreamed of.
