It is awful. Before I started recovery, I was an active alcoholic and even my broken brain struggled to drink them.

I was wondering who brewed it:

Somebody on ratebeer posted:

Kirkland Signature Light Beer, 105 calories, 4.2% ABV. Contract brewed for Costco by the Gordon Biersch Brewing Company under the brewer name Hopfen Und Malz (for the west coast market) and since mid 2009 by Matt Brewing as "New Yorker Brewing Co." (for the east coast market), and for central states by Minhas Craft Brewery as "Regal Brau Brewing Company."

Matt brewing makes Saranac's beers which in my experience have been at least unoffensive.

My 10 year old shark navigator vacuum seems to have clogged for good this time, I can’t get it to run right. Possibly needs new filters but I’ve tried that, and the vacuum head seems clean (including the tube leading up to the vacuum).

Anyway what do people think about this one?

https://www.costco.com/bissell-multiclean-allergen-lift-off-pet-slim-deluxe-upright-vacuum.product.100737281.html

Our navigator had a bunch of problems recently too but I was able to diagnose them. It started when it started sounding weird, like loud rushing air noises and had weak suction and the motor was getting really hot. Turned out there's a pressure release valve (rushing air noise) and the motor was overheating because it was fighting a half dozen clogs. Here's what I fixed:

  • The length of hose between the beater bars and the vacuum body had a hole in it. Replacing it was a few bucks
  • The length of hose inside the handle had jammed with dust but wasn't immediately obvious. I had to disassemble it but that was because a 3" stick had somehow wedged itself in there
  • The grating in the dust cartridge was clogged. I cleaned it out periodically with compressed air but apparently that wasn't enough. Washing it out with water cleared it.
  • The foam filters under the cartridge were loaded with dust. We'd been washing them out but eventually bought new ones (then the dogs tore them up as toys before we could install them and we bought new new ones)
  • A few of the other interfaces and connections that we never used had built up some dust. I just looked for every disconnect I could find and gave it a once over

Considering it's over 10 years old at this point it was due for a bit of servicing and it's back to pulling out stuff I'd never guess was there. No judgment if you just want a new vacuum though :)

They only made it for two months and it was TERRIBLE. I bought the 48 pack for $20 thinking "how bad could it be?". I drank maybe two total and my friends tried some. I still have about 40 of them stacked in a pyramid in my garage.

We shot a few of them with a pistol but that was just a waste of ammo.

I live not far from the Minhas brewery and have toured it once. All of their beers have a weird sourness to them which could be due to Monroe, WI's water. Kinda like how the Rocky Mountain water Coors uses must have a lot of iron or something in it, because to me Coors has a really metallic aftertaste to it.

Really? This is the green can, Citra Session IPA, buy my family have enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a great drinking on the patio during the spring sorta drink, and we've already gone through two cases of it, and I'm going back soon for another. It won't blow your socks off or anything, but for a beer that's as tasty as it is for $20 for a 24 pack, you'd be hard pressed to find better (and if you know of something better for the same price, do let me know).

I've been looking at a few different zero gravity chairs online, and kind of hemming and hawing about pulling the trigger on one. Spotted one at Costco today for $80 that looked way nicer and about $20 cheaper than anything I'd seen online, so decided to pull the trigger. It's super comfy and has a handy little built-in side table with a drink and phone holder, should make for some great star gazing. Probably going to go back this weekend and pickup a second.

e: oh yeah, got some meats for the smoker this weekend too... first time cooking short ribs so should be fun

What was the issue?

A couple of you have asked but its a long boring story that I'm sick of repeating (mainly to costco employees) but heres some basics

- two wasted trips, the last one where they assured me on the phone i could drop the car off if I didn't need it immediately (its my 2nd car so keep it as long as you want, i just need it by the end of the month because it also needs its safety inspection). Then when I get there (getting a friend to meet me there for a ride back home by the way), 'oh no we can't do that. heavens to betsy who ever heard of night drop for car service'. But the guy on the phone JUST told me! 'well sorry we cant do that'. well, FUUUUUUUUCK.

- finally losing it and getting the same tires from a local place for $200 more because they didn't have the same promo but i really didn't care at that point

- getting jerked around on returning the costco tires (that last part is what the manager helped me with, although he said I'd get an email confirming and I haven't yet)

Anyway what really added to the frustration was the long waits on the phone, and everyone promising call backs that never happened. Oh and everyone making it a point to tell me how busy they are, I know your busy I've been to a costco before. In the meantime it's not like I have anything to do, i work in biotech and don't remember a week shorter than 60 hours in I dont know how drat long. How about I carve the word busy in your foreheads like aldo raine.

Anyway anyway. I guess I'll call back tomorrow about the return confirmation.

Yeah, I don’t know why people use Costco Tires. Always so expensive even for a get the 4th tire free deal (which is just routine sort of deal). Maybe the quality is better? They just seem to be name brand tires that you can get anywhere.

I tend to go to neighborhood shops run by Korean families and they give me a great deal. And the tires are fine.

Nah man you gotta share the bad products too.

For instance, the plug in led undercab lights are the biggest piece of junk I've gotten there. No switch on it, just motion activated. Which means it turns off and on whenever my hand swiped near it and if have to undo it. Then it broke and wouldn't stay on or stay off reliably.

We have two costcos within 20 minutes from us. One has the best tire department I've ever experienced and they are super fast, friendly, and treated our car right when we brought it in, and had a big inventory of sizes and types. The other sounds exactly like what you are describing. Just an absolute nightmare of "we are really busy, just drop it off, sorry you can't drop it off, we are too busy, you should call next time, no appointments, the manager is busy and talking on the phone is too much of a hassle so just drop it off!" and basically zero inventory so they would have to order it if you really wanted the size of tires your car is supposed to have instead of putting wider tires on just because that is what they have.
