Tom and Jerry is huge in Asia in general. My grandfather from my Indonesian mother’s side of the family was a huge fan of Tom and Jerry. It’s one of the truly international cartoons.

There are a lot of characters that are beloved in Japan. Peanuts characters, Moomin, Ted (Yes, the teddy bear from the movie with Marky Mark), and more. Last time I was visiting Japan I found shops dedicated to these brands. Tom and Jerry stuff I think I saw at Kiddyland. Japan loves their characters.

So she's very grateful to everyone for helping her get a chance to do that. Moreover, she wants to succeed not just for herself and for us, but also for Hololive - even though folks will no longer see her, she wants everyone to eventually hear word that their graduate has made it big and be proud. All the more reason why she ain't interested in letting this be the end: she's Hololive's first true-to-form graduate and is going to work hard to show what they can accomplish out there. She figures that's how she can repay Yagoo for "raising" her, too, and hopes he'll eventually tell her, like a proud parent, "not bad at all, you actually built something greater than what I did". When asked if it'll be a VTubing company, she points that she's not saying that - only that it'll be big. But if she were to manage a group of VTubers, she'd tell them do whatever they felt like and to take responsibility for what they decide. It'd be a very hands-off approach. Decided Gura's Jaws watchalong was a great opportunity to watch Jaws again because it was my favorite movie as a kid. Anyway so far the best moment is when they say they're gonna close the beaches for 24 hours and the lady in the crowd yells "24 hours is like three weeks!" Gura deadass goes "that's my kinda math."
