this is a controversial opinion but.... earthbound is a really good game. as an aside I made a Mother 2/Enigma mash up album.

I played GBA Mother 1+2 and had a good time, but I have an unusually high tolerance for tedium. Mother 1 has a great story and atmosphere (although the setting definitely feels like a rough draft of Eagleland in M2), but the gameplay is a slog. Can't blame anyone for giving it up, although trying out the various easy-mode ROM options is a good idea.
