Abso lutely go see Neil Hamburger if he’s coming to your town. The last time I saw him in Milwaukee a few years ago Gregg was sitting 2 seats away from me having a drink before the show. I knew who he was but I figured he didn’t really want to interact with anyone out of character so I didn’t talk to him. I think my favorite joke of his goes something like “What do you call an elderly idiot getting taken off life support? Eric Clapton Unplugged!”

The opening of neil's show rules bc he just hocks and spits and spills his drinks as long as he possibly can based on the audience egging him on

I like how it's a scripted reality show with confessionals but Ax also mentions seeing Wendy sing at the oscar special

He wasn't sure if there was autotune at the Oscar Special. But the Rock House does not lie.

Jesus christ that was incredible. As with so much HEI content, I sort of postpone watching it because I forget that it's going to knock my socks off. Who the gently caress is Stefan?

Rock House was amazing, some real Kroll Show vibes there...it was almost too on-the-nose. Ax & Manuel are incredible, such cool guy energy radiating off them have been rewatching the entire series recently, Lucky Season 7 has got to be the pinnacle of this show right? The Antman/Fantastic 4 episode, "Empty Bottle" for the first time, Decker vs. Dracula, the "Dr. San Forgiveness Special", the introduction of Axiom, the final episode with Tom Cruise Jr....plus possibly the best intro sequences of the whole series. some of the best poo poo ever made really

I was actually just thinking the other day the same thing with almost the exact same list, haha. It also helps that I was going through a real hard spell for a few months at that point and a genuine highlight of every week was knowing that after work on Friday, I would have 15 minutes of totally laughing my rear end off.

I think there was a real change in Gregg in season 8. As manager and curator of the Victorville Film Also lol at GENTLEMEN'S RESTROOM

And as a counter to season 7 being goat here is a cross post of mine from the other thread: Season 6 is such a good season. Nothing too crazy just the understated inanity that the earlier seasons got just right. Tim comes back from Jackson Hole. He reunites with Ayaka and TCH. Dekkar 2 goes into production in Hawaii using Tim's new time share (financed by a very large small business loan from the government originally for the now abandoned Hog Shots project). Gregg is brought in as a writer on the series. We get the Paul Turbo/Paul Car suggestion. Joe Estevez realises he hasn't been invited to film in Hawaii. There is so much passive aggression throughout.
