They've basically guaranteed his entire (previously unguaranteed) 2022 salary on top of that, so I would imagine not unless he's top 3 DPOY again. In which case fair enough.

The bengals are interesting because they exist in the lineup of teams, they get draft spots, and they even have televised games in the National Football League but they don't actually play football

Now they just need to extend Big Q and they'll have a few really important players locked up for a while.

Your instinct is to counter the argument and offer vainly "you must be joking, surely they play football!"

And then you witness the ending of the 2015-16 Wild Card game and you know in your heart there are many things you can say, but none of them are "yep, that was football alright"

"I think we're always evaluating what's out there on both sides of the line. But, hopefully Fred (Johnson) can come back sooner than later, Riley (Reiff) could be back as soon as today," Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said. "I think Isaiah Prince has done a nice job. It's good for D'Ante Smith to get a lot of reps. It's not a bad thing when a guy misses a practice or two because you get a chance to see those young guys step up and what they are capable of and the pressure is on them a little bit."

Injuries are good actually and depth is for bitches. It's time to up D'Ante and go "All In" on this Cincinnati Bengals football season

He’s coming off an injury. It’s just a pretty normal “I’m not where I need to be and it’s frustrating but it’s not time to panic” statement.

1. Trey Lance
2. Trevor Lawrence
3. Zach Wilson
4. Justin Fields
5. Mac Jones

Eh it was obviously a bad practice but he's seemed to generally show out well most of the rest the time.

The reports I've seen that say Mac has been good bury the fact that he's mostly been playing against the second team and dedicate a much larger part of the write up to seven-on-sevens. Sounds like he's been putrid (as has Cam!) against the starting defense.

If a quarterback is doing good in training camp then it's because they are going to break out this season. If they are doing poorly in camp then it's because the defense is going to be one of the best units in the NFL. Embrace camp season

That was my rationale for putting him at 2. Just a bunch of vague "he looks good!"s and a benefit of the doubt for the best prospect since Luck or whatever.
