It's legit well made-looking, but gotta love the creators obvious insert-OC Donut Steel of "Farah" being the gunner in the Landmaster so really it's her making the cool shots and not Fox you guys.

I've seen WabbaJack mentioned a few times. How well does it work? Having an quick-and-easy modpack install sounds nice, but from the time I spent trying to mod Skyrim and Fallout 4 a couple of years back, apart from installing mods directly, you sometimes have to tweak stuff with certain mod apps to get things configured properly.

Is it something where you can create your own mod packs for quick reinstall on your system or something? I looked through the gallery page, but there aren't a lot of collections to pick from.

They're all curated modlists by authors. To get featured on the gallery they generally have to be pretty stable/updated. If you have nexus premium then you just hit download and everything will finish by itself and you'll be able to run your new 1k mod setup with barely any setup. If you don't have nexus premium you have to sit there for...awhile approving each individual download. It works really well honestly, especially now that mods can't be fully deleted from the Nexus. Just be sure you read the instructions for the modlist you are downloading.

Wabbajack is real good and it's worth a month of Nexus Premo or whatever so you can just set it and forget it overnight.

WabbaJack consists of a list of mods to download and a bunch of binary patch files to mangle it all into a working system. It aims to be very simple to install, but it isn't simple to create your own. And modifying the result is also pretty tough. It only works with the portable version of Mod Organizer 2. It doesn't work at all with Vortex, Kortex, Wyre Bash, Nexus Mod Manager, Oblivion Mod Manager, Mod Organizer 1, or any other.

Nexus is going to create their own modlist support eventually. I expect that it will be a lot easier to create your own modlists, but it will probably be something like a Steam collection. You'll most likely have to solve conflicts yourself in your own mod manager.

All of his mods are impressive.

That is the guy who made Hyrule: Total War. I did a lot of large effort posts on it way back when, and suffice to say that it was basically TW Warhammer before Warhammer existed only with extra bells and whistles. For instance, the Shiekah faction didn't even have a conquest oriented gameplay. Instead they were the secret police of Hyrule (Which was split into playable provinces, meaning that if you played as Hyrule itself it had a sort of Rome-esque set up where it had to keep them in line while waging war.), sending in their ultra-elitist playstyle armies to take out threats to it. Or if you wanted to let it happen, you could betray Hyrule and get that wizard antagonist; getting to recruit the cool looking soldiers from a Link to the Past while transitioning to a proper nation playstyle.

Likewise, Labyrinna or whatever it was called was basically colonialism.txt with extra gunpowder units, magic punk mechs, and brutal WW1 style trench warfare later on. This could occur against more fantasy oriented armies which was :black101: as gently caress when you factor in all the batshit crazy stuff like the Gohma Horde (Basically, the Tyranids if they existed in Warhammer FB and went up against a somewhat steampunk-esque WW1 army that used trench warfare as a doctrine. Take a moment to envisage that scene for a moment.), etc, etc and is something that the TW Warhammer devs haven't done yet.

TL;DR: Each faction was genuinely interesting. Sadly though the engine literally couldn't handle all the stuff he was doing like naval combat and multiple settings/worlds so he had to switch over to a much more scaled down RTS after trying for years to get it to not be so unstable.

If you can find the right older version and patch the exe to have 64 bit memory allocation it doesn't usually crash. You miss out on some neat features though.

It's a shame he's doing it on 0 A.D. since not only is it super janky but the AI isn't there for it, meaning that only like two nations are playable against in skirmish so far since they have to design the AI. Also, the scale of the game is cut way down.
