lmao

These dipshits are trying to say ivermectin use in Australia is keeping the death rate low.

I'm going to loving scream

loving LOL at this "sophisticated analysis". The numbers on that graph are the 7 day averages and the y-axis for deaths still only goes up to 26, if you divide all the values on the graph by 7 you'll get the daily average. The "shortage resolved" high point on the graph was the worst day we'd had in 11 months when we had a total of 8 deaths, the last time that happened in Australia was September 24 2020. That pushed the daily average up to 3.86 deaths but apparently a huge importation of ivermectin pushed that back down to a daily average of nearly 2!!!

Also note that J Chamie's "sophisticated analysis" was posted only a few hours ago but mysteriously dropped the last few day's worth of data where the deaths graph soars back up to a shockingly high 3.14 daily average:

WhoooAOOooaooaoOaOOA the ivermectin must have suddenly run out again!!!!

christmas is probably our biggest holiday. but australians are allergic to pomp and having a big immigrant community affects how seriously we take it.

as long as we get our days off, that is. one of the few things we care enough about to make a fuss. i don't know if this is common in other countries, but if a holiday (like christmas day) falls on a weekend, the next monday is a holiday-in-lieu. you better believe we're not missing out on time off due to some accident of the calendar.

I’m fascinated by this thing where they’re pretending that anyone is pretending that ventilators are a good thing to be put on and that they must resist this fraudulent miracle cure being pushed by the corrupt medical system like they resisted the vaccines. I have not heard one single person saying that vents are the solution to anything, in fact it seems most common to have people put their affairs in order and say their goodbyes before intubation. From what I can tell, it’s a low-success nightmare treatment that they’re only doing because they’re out of other poo poo and they’re not allowed to just shoot you.

Pfizer is still higher tier than AZ.

Just some recent studies point to having lower effectiveness at preventing Delta variant infection compared to Moderna.

The CDC is still "Waiting on the Science!"

https://www.politico.com/news/2021/08/30/cdc-covid-booster-shots-507803

quote:

Members of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's independent vaccine advisory panel voiced frustration Monday with the Biden administration's plan to begin doling out Covid-19 boosters next month, arguing the announcement got ahead of federal regulators and could exacerbate vaccine hesitancy.

The White House strategy, which it announced earlier this month, is contingent upon FDA deeming boosters safe and effective and CDC recommending their use. Still, some CDC committee members made clear they were irked that the announcement came before federal regulators and scientists formally endorsed booster doses.

"That kind of opened the door to a lot of confusion," said Sandra Adamson Fryhofer of the American Medical Association during the panel's discussion of booster doses.

"Many, many, many" hospitals across the South have already begun administering third doses to their health care workers amid an explosion of Covid cases linked to the Delta variant, said Helen Keipp Talbot, a committee member and associate professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University.

"I think since it was given with a date, many assumed that it was given a blessing by the White House and this was the next step," she said, adding that those providers have "now put themselves at risk" by immunizing individuals outside FDA and CDC recommendations.

It's not a treatment so much as they've tried everything and now you aren't getting enough oxygen so we're going to put in a tube to breath for you and pray your body sorts things out cause that's the only cure at that point.

India/UK had a similar trajectory. Huge peak due to delta, but rapid vaccination crashed the pandemic down to very controllable levels within 3 months.

You just got caught in your propaganda to try and politicize the virus. Keep going. Claim we are doomed all the more. Its just going to discredit you harder when all your non-data supported storylines don't pan out.

thank god delta never got to the south island because how rural and remote it is, the custom guy in auckland joked about "wow does anyone actually live there??" when i told him that's where i was heading

also lol @ the NZ ministry of health website somehow actually having a page on eye protection
https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work...pe-and-covid-19

quote:

When and why should eye protection be worn?
Using eye protection can provide the health care worker an additional layer of protection against transmission of the COVID-19 virus through the conjunctiva of the eye. This can occur through direct splashes or spray from close contact with an infected person, or, rubbing your eyes after touching an object or surface that is contaminated. There are several options available for eye protection including; goggles or plastic glasses that have side visors and fit closely to your forehead and face or, alternatively, a long face shield that covers the eyes, nose and mouth can be used for eye protection.

Prescription glasses do not provide adequate eye protection due gaps around the frames. Reusable eye protection should be cleaned safely prior to reuse, following local Infection Prevention and Control protocols or manufacturer’s instructions.

In some low risk interactions, where COVID-19 is not suspected, a long face shield may provide reassurance to you and your patient/client and replace the need for eye protection and a mask.

I already never wanted kids, but seeing the small town I grew up in advising all the kids to not go outside during the summer because of the smoke really crack pinged a thing I already didn’t want to into a straight up moral imperative. Riding bikes around pretending they’re x wings was some of the purest fun I’ve ever had, I won’t be signing anybody up for a life where they can’t ride bikes around and pretend to be whatever the current equivalent of an x wing would be.

This was Jackson County, Oregon, for context. Its one of the deep red ones on the map, and proudly so. It’s one of the most beautiful places you could ever hope to be, but global issues have rendered it Frequently On Fire, and the locals have been entertaining themselves by holding thousand person protests of hospitals that already don’t have any ICU beds open. It’s like if the garden of eden remained open to human occupation and we installed a bunch of fast food franchises and set half of it on fire every few years. It was a beautiful place to grow up, but nobody should attempt to make somebody else grow up there.
