That's an interesting concept if it wasn't a gently caress up. Louisville just ran a play that wasn't your normal pitch or toss, but the QB had no chance to get to how wide the RB was on a wideish but not exactly to the outside play. So he had to kinda lay it out there for a foot or so. I mean it worked fine, I don't see why it wouldn't keep working if it was intentional. Just hadn't seen that before.
