They are so desperate to make sure everyone knows it's related to Venom and Spider-man, they even spoiled the Michael Keaton cameo in the trailer. Looks terrible, even without considering it stars Jared Leto.

From the spirals I'm gathering that it's a standard-length movie with a circular story that repeats back-to-back for a week, which you can jump into at any point as long as you watch one full rotation. Just a guess, though.

At the hotel, she eventually meets an unnamed English oil businessman whom she falls in love with. When the Englishman has falling out with Costa Ricans, the two flee together toward border. An American who is most likely a CIA agent tracks them and pressures her to sell out the Englishman looks like dog poo poo

Claire Denis deserves the benefit of the doubt* but yeesh, that synopsis is kind of off-putting. *that said, I can't remember if it was her or Catherine Breillat who said some really lovely things in regards to #metoo.

Me seeing Ghostbusters: I just think it’s real boring to release movies based 100% on farming your nostalgia. Ghostbusters was a great movie people should just go back and watch that movie if they want. we don’t need a new one. There are a million original idea scripts sitting in cabinets all over town. make those Me watching 8 bit Christmas: do I go day one or wait for the crowds to thin out on day two

Every Christmas movie that (A) isn't romantic, and (B) features actors I know by name has an advantage for me. Obviously not a tactic with guaranteed success, but it separates the wheat from the chaff when you're looking at every Xmas movie in existence (watching cable during the holidays is a minefield).
