What about Secret of Evermore?

If you haven't tried it yet I strongly recommend you check out Horzion's Gate on Steam. It's very much "what if Uncharted Waters 2 but with a dash of FFT jobs and tactical group combat instead of duels." It seems to have a decently active modding community via Steam workshop as well though I haven't taken the dive into those yet.

I honestly am not even sure I played Secret of Evermore.

Why is every Turtles in Time re-release a stripped down version missing like half the stages? I stupidly bought it for the Xbox a few years ago and I couldn't give a poo poo about the NEW UPDATED GRAPHICS because it's about 50% of the original game.

I gravitated towards the Greens, eventually even joining the party itself.

The Linke is a party I grudgingly accept exists, but I've learned enough about DDR-history I can't bring myself to trust a party that was once the SED, a party leading the corrupt state apparatus ...

Oh, I loved that game! I smashed everything with huge flying fists anytime I could and ground a lot of alchemical substances to feed my fist addiction

Ironically I bought Secret of Evermore because I thought it had something to do with Secret of Mana. It has not. Oops. :v:

They ported the arcade game no one remembers instead of the SNES one people do

Wasn't the Genesis version more of a direct port of the arcade game and they renamed it Hyperstone Heist or something?

very excited to finally play the old gtas on switch. the ps2 trilogy are some of my favorite games of all time and honestly i would have been satisfied with a quick and dirty port of san andreas mobile, but i'm really looking forward to seeing how they've polished and updated the games. no idea why i'm playing gta 3 again on my phone when i'm just going to start over in four days, but i truly cannot get enough of these games

If whomever was responsible for porting them used the PC games as a base it'll be at least playable, as they had actual mouse aiming for firearms.

I got $60 dollars in gift cards for eshop, and the best buy sale for the 256 gig micro sd card on it's way. I'm ready for GTA (if the port isn't terrible) and while I have loved buying physical copies of switch games, I'm tempted to start buying mostly digital. I bought Animal crossing digital and that was really nice. Dread's box is nice though... decisions decisions.

(Also, if GTA trilogy for switch does suck, is the new pokemon worth getting over sword or shield? I haven't played in awhile and I would be willing to buy one of them... which would have more pokemon? especially if i'm thinking of transferring them to other pokémon games down the road?

Not a lot of good games on the SNES so Super Metroid should clear a top 10 easy. Top 5 really depends on how much you like RPGs I guess...

3D Allstars gets you Galaxy and Sunshine. Great and flawed. It's also a full price game.

Online expansion runs at 50 per year (if you don't have online already, if so it's 30) and gets you every home console Mario game from the N64 down so: 64, Yoshi's Island, World, Mario All-Stars and Mario NES 1-3. More Mario and for a cheaper price, plus you get 2 Mario Kart games.

I'd say Online Expansion is the better deal. BUT if you want to give Nintendo More Money for Less Mario get 3D All Stars.

If for whatever reason you have genuinely never played the old 2D Mario games, don't think about it, Act Now. 3 and the 2 SNES games are incredible. 1 is actually pretty good. Lost Levels is insane and SMB 2/USA is cute, though I personally didn't find it as fun to play as much as I appreciated the concept.

That's cause Yoshi's Island is better.

In no order...

Chrono Trigger, FFVI, Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Yoshi's Island. Arguably my favorite SNES games and Super Metroid is something else because I only played that for the first time a couple of years ago. That game is a GOAT.

Edit: I could squeeze out Chrono Trigger for Kirby Superstar. Maybe. I resonated more with FFVI emotionally, though I think a very good case could be made for CT being better.

Top 5's are for garbage consoles like the Genesis.
