This isn't particularly sleek or aerodynamic; it just balances drag and surface tension.

Of course a flat plate turned edge-on to the airstream produces the least drag, like a katana slicing through a flat of Kirkwood Signature spring water.

This was a great post and I learned a lot and it's why I love these forums. But you said Kirkwood instead of Kirkland.
