Hourly employees can go pound the pavement for their Christmas bonus, and I sincerely don't expect many to return in January. also you should post in BFC because the people are nice and smart

You're a fool if you think big auto makers aren't looking beyond the point they make cars to sell to the golden future of selling and endlessly reselling the same vehicles as services. It's going to suck.

For cars, I have a hard time seeing how performance vehicles are going to maintain their appeal when EVs are prevalent at much higher performance levels. There's always nostalgia, yes. But.... nostalgia doesn't make up for higher performance at high levels of availability on large scale. Small scale, yes. But if, in ten years every electric aztek equivalent is faster than an m5 then the appeal of the m5 becomes solely the nostalgia and as I type this I'm thinking about all the other nostalgia products and I'm definitely wrong about this, aren't I? So I think that'll be the last time my car goes back to the original FL dealer I bought it from. First time I took it to the STL dealer they noticed a part missing, car had 5K miles on it. Took it back to the FL dealer and told em' the STL dealer found the part missing. FL dealer tries to charge me for the part, car has 10K miles now. I tell em' the car's got a vibration around 85mph, FL dealer say "rotate the tires" and see. I say "OK, car's got 10K miles, let's do that and see". Car's still got vibration but can't get back to FL dealer until something a bit less than 15K miles. Tell em, "car's still got vibration, pls balance tires and change oil again". They do the job, I drive to STL again, car's much less vibratory, seems great. Get to STL, park car couple days. Remote start car - it's cold here, sit in, smell burning oil. Open hood, find oil spilled on engine cover. Smell more burning. Take to STL dealer, tell them smell oil and found oil on cover. They call later "Previous dealer double washered your drain plug, pls auth oil change to remedy". I wanna go back to the FL dealer and bitch, but I know they're gonna wanna comp me service on the car. I think I'm done with them touching it.

It turns out turning the economy knob all he way to extraction without giving the workers enough money creates a bottleneck. I doubt it'll be resolved. It's not limited to cars, it's just trickling down through the consumer items. First is housing, next is cars. After that... Uhh travel? Furniture, clothing, food, water and then collapse. Merry Christmas!

So it becomes the rest of the package around those numbers, or you just give the gently caress up and ignore the numbers and have fun anyway. I'm increasingly leaning into that third category.

Hey anyone use Sirius in here? My mom and step dad both have brand new does vehicles. My Amex will reimburse me up to $20 a month for it is there any better deal than the 5.99 a month I’m seeing? Is there one that covers 2 vehicles? If not that’s fine my stepdad probably would barely use it.

I see it like how now we have people that tune 4/6/8/Rotaries etc and stick in their wheelhouse. The 'power' game is won and done in favour of EVs most definitely. Asthetics plays a big part too. I've mentioned I hate how Teslas and other brands have stupid sci-fi designs and I would much prefer a crate EV and drop it in for example a Doge Monaco to be completely random.

How many in a case? A crate of 30 costs the equivalent of 63 AUD in Denmark, slightly less if you go for cans over bottles.

everdave posted:Hey anyone use Sirius in here? Every time a promo is about to expire, call them and ask to cancel. When they ask why, cite the high (normal) price (which is multiples of that price after the $5.99 promo ends). You'll get the promo for another 6 months, and they'll (usually) even tell you when to call in to do the same thing again. Not sure how much the satellite packages are these days; I only used streaming, which is somehow cheaper (I was usually able to get $30/6 months for the top tier).

Similar prices to Denmark, then. A friend of mine was at a local bar some years ago, asked the bartender for "two Carlsberg, two Tuborg, please". "Two Carlsberg and two beers, here you go"

Ferremit posted:24x330ml. Your normally paying more than $50 per case, most craft beers with flavour are north of $70-80 I'm constantly stunned how much you guys pay for beer. That Carlsberg is currently NZ$40/AU$37 and cheap local brew is as little as NZ$32/AU$30. Even cheaper swill available in cans. Or if you're really getting on it, you get a bottle exchange "swappa crate" for NZ$40 (+$7 if you don't have a crate to swap) for 12 x 745ml. Good for Christmas Day and the crate makes for a perfect seat in the back yard.

I’d rather them being a pain in the back to move than be bendy under load! The trailer has tie down rings welded into the floor in each corner, so they’re chained to them to stop them being spat out backwards.

Nabbed some stuff from Direct Tools Outlet during black Friday, finally showed up yesterday. They insisted on throwing in a free Ryobi electrostatic sprayer. I don't see myself needing it unless I get into car detailing or building disinfecting (no) - these things worth anything, or did they just find a creative way to unload a bunch of them?
