Well I'm sure after a wonderful GLEAT card we all feel good & ready for a nice break from wrestling but haha, no, the busy as gently caress period continues & really only slows down on Thursday & Friday. Actually, that's slightly misleading. It's not the busiest week, but almost everything is worth watching. All Japan's New Year Wars double shot feels a bit weaker this year, or at least night 1 does. And obviously there's no Triple Crown match, with Jake Lee hurt & stripped. Abby Kobayashi is demanding on social media AJPW name him interim champ which is hilarious. King of Freedoms match looks potentially great, Gake No Fuchi insanity is back & this time with Prominence, another Takuya Nomura title match in Big Japan & then the start of their Strong Climb Tournament which is always worth checking in on. NOAH give us 2 bangers on 1/1 with the GHC National & Heavyweight Title matches & then we have the 2 Korakuens AND THEN the U-CUP which...far as I can tell the 4 teams are NOAH hometeam, Kongo, LPdMdJ & Stinger & there's a variety of matches over 2 nights. Seems intriguing at least. Oh, & Wrestle Kingdom. First half of both nights looks pretty skippable to me. I don't know how they are doing a repeat of one of my favourite matches of 2021 & yet I am totally cool on it, like I know Okada vs Takagi will rule but the build to it was loving non-existent. Same with night 2, Okada OR Takagi vs Ospreay will be loving phenomenal as a match but where's the build? Considering the issues between Ishimori and NOAH, I wonder if there's any chance they'll set up a singles match with HAYATA for the junior belt, HAYATA's only two defences away from breaking Ishimori's all time record. Of course, if NOAH want him to break Ishimori's record for reign length as well I may have to start watching the VODs and skipping his matches, it'll be painful to watch another 7 months of HAYATA single matches

Catching up with the top of yesterday's All Japan show before this morning's, and watching Sekimoto hit the Deadlift German on Kuma Arashi was seriously impressive. Like obviously the dude is strong, just look at him, but Jesus he's like half the size of Arashi. Get Abby out of the way, give all the belts to Sekimoto. Especially since Okabayashi beat Nomura yesterday, both members of Strong BJ need big gold
