I didn't really think much of him until some of the interviews that Chris Sumo translated. I don't know how Ura's going to do up in the meatgrinder but he seems to have had a lot of luck picking holes in everyone and getting them just off balance enough to get wins. I hope Hoshoryu's fired up for this basho and pulls out some more real aggressive sumo

They'll most likely keep individual records for overall bout stats but not adjust rankings if it's anything less than 10 days, but also there's no way they're canceling it mid-basho unless like half the stables pull out, so far it's just Tagonoura, right?

January had it pretty rough when all the Chiyos, Hak’s boys and I think a couple other smaller stables had to pull out. There were 7 0-0-15s in Makuuchi and 9 in Juryo so that’s the bar they’ve set so far.
