Keep a text file on your personal computer with accomplishments like this. Then, when you do your yearly resume updating (because every year is yotj) you get to put a bullet on your resume 'Saved X clients y thousands of dollars per year by updating infrastructure etc' Additionally, you do onboarding, right? Your clients will tell you 'oh God our computers are so slow' or whatever. Send an email to your boss saying 'they really need new computers, let's get this on the next business review meeting'. Then you get to put 'increased sales by X thousands of dollars per year by identifying infrastructure bottlenecks' on your resume too. When it's not quite yotj and you just want more money, you now have dollar figures about why your boss should give you extra money or a percent of commission or whatever.

I re-did our Verizon phone contracts a few months ago. I moved us from these poo poo 10 gig a month plans to unlimited plans which saved the org about $2500/month in overage fees. No one gave a gently caress.

I probably should have been more clear. They definitely have my back. They told me they can’t police what I write on my own social media and since I never specifically mentioned my work or any identifiable information they don’t really give a poo poo. I’m mostly embarrassed and scared. Embarrassed because my boss has now both seen not exactly PG pictures of my body and has read tweets where I specifically mention wanting to “get my rear end ate like groceries” and I’m pretty sure any chance of respect moving forward is going to be either strained or impossible. Even if that’s not true, now I feel awkward working for someone who has seen that side of me so I think it’s best I move on. Scared because someone out there did some deep digging to figure out who I am for no other reason than I exist and I have no clue who it is or how far they’re going to go. I’ve basically deleted my entire online presence except for this forum and, like, Snapchat. If it was anyone here I’m sure they would have pointed to my post history here so I’m not too terribly concerned about this hellsite. Still though, I just hate this.
