That was revealed to be a photoshop a little further in the thread, but it looked like someone stuffed into the back of it before it went into the ditch. Which was going to be my point; yeah going out in those conditions in something you'd like to keep nice isn't the best idea, even if you've got the right tires, traction control, and drive sensibly. You're sharing the road with every other chucklef out there and you can't trust they've taken the same amount of care and precautions. Driving in snow isn't that difficult. I enjoy it, personally. However, driving with traffic in snow is hell.

DoubleT2172 posted:I wouldn't even know where to start but I definitely want to start and it seems surprisingly cheap for an auto hobby. Wiki says that circa 2012 they should cost about 2 grand to build which sounded optimistic, but I found a good article from 2021: http://www.huntsvillegp.com/articles/001/thecyclekart.htm quote:1. Search for a famous, unique vintage car, or race car you like. This is from the period of when automobiles first appeared, to around... the last time a production car or race car, used relatively SKINNY and WIRE SPOKED WHEELS. This, is called your inspiration car. The original idea was early 1900's to a maximum of Pre-WWII, but some from beyond the original period have enjoyed success. Still, try to keep it period correct ok?

I was thinking one that would look like an old John Deere 520 or something, I wonder how much it has to look like an inspiration car. I found a picture of one that looked like the Fiat S76, the "Beast of Turin":

The only modern Lamborghinis I actually think are cool are these Japanese car gang ones because to me they're more in line with the feel of the Countach etc and their insanely 'gently caress you everybody' over the top styling from back in the day. https://twitter.com/riki_limit/status/1490000058456031234?t=jxVxrOM-c5_HXGp4zWTqdg&s=19

Yeah if I had that kind of money, I'd splash out on the premium skins too. The last thing a lamborghini should be is subtle.

HenryJLittlefinger posted:That primary cover is a thing of beauty The “inventor” Brösel (the guy sitting on top) did a lot of awesome bike projects. The Red Porsche Killer was just one of them. Some more pics (sorry for German Website) https://gasgriffsalat.com/2017/08/02/2018-red-porsche-killer-revanche/ The story behind the thing is a bit sad though. Brösel created a comic figure - Werner - and all kinds of strange bikes for that, of which some he and friends actually build. The “Red Porsche Killer” was the story of one of the comics about Werner building a bike to own the ultra-capitalistic boss in his red Porsche, and of course Brösel built the thing in real life and staged the same race from the comic on a dragster strip. The bike IIRC broke down though, so the race never happened. Over time the Werner-Comics became pretty successful so of course some “friends” of him convinced him to make movies etc., loving him over so he completely lost the copyright to his own work. I stand corrected, the second race did take place: https://www.welt.de/regionales/hamburg/article181397222/Werner-Rennen-Broesel-gelingt-die-Revanche.html He also invented/create the Satteliterschüssel (impossible to translate into English), a similar over-the-top bike thing…IIRC it is built around a tractor single-piston engine with - well - 1 litre displacement. https://www.google.com/search?q=sat...=xGpGDh3Z_ghgtM tuo fucked around with this message at 13:18 on Feb 7, 2022 |

Trade a V6 Taunus for a V8 Oldsmobile and tear rear end towards Italia. "Wow. 120 and I can't feel a thing!" "Those are miles, you idiot!" "Ah, you're right." I can't imagine driving a boat like that through Italian mountain roads.
