You can buy the blueprint to build your own Asgards but you can't buy the ship itself.

Good game!
If you are patient you can reasonably destroy everything in the game with a rattlesnake. You'll have a bad time vs defense drone swarms though, the Raptor is absolutely able to wreck swarms of tiny ships but you can "Only" have 8 plasma turrets firing at stations. its okay though, just turn up SETA.

Hi Guys,

But, as you may or may not know, I'm from Ukraine, current situation does not allow me to work on the mod as I evacuated the city and left everything behind. I believe that the attacker will fail, we have huge trust in our army. I hope I will be able to get back to work and mod in nearest time.

Yeah, it's tempting, but unfortunately I don't have a shipyard yet. Or can I order one at an NPC shipyard, if I have the necessary prints? Never thought about that before...
Either way, boarding it will probably the cheapest and fastest method to at least TRY first, as long as I can find an isolated Asgard.

Does anyone know approx. how many marines are needed to take it on? I have around 200 in a supply ship (mixed experience. Plenty of recruits, but also a bunch of seasoned vets who have gained a few stars through previous boardings against HOP vessels. If that's not enough though, I think I have around 150 in a L freighter that I could also use, potentially. (Although using two ships for a surprise boarding might be a bit annoying, with the AI manning one ship)

Scan the Asgards, if you get lucky you'll get a Terran Intervention Corps Asgard with ~20-30 middle tier marines. It took me four refills of my Syn to knock that out, I got lucky and caught it when it was faffing around in The Void and could make resupply trips.

My Hatikvah's Choice is a constant warzone between the Xenon and Argon and similar tactics got me a resupply ship, bringing my count of those up to 3. The problem is I have no idea what to do with them besides admire them for looking cool. (Atlas, Monitor, and whatever the Argon one is).

Does HAT have the ability to expand, or do they only get the one sector?

Oh cool - 30 marines should be easy then, for my boarding ship. Their platoon versus my company? Yes please! :D (I wish they'd release medium sized troop transport ships though, which aren't good for combat but fit a lot of personnel)

As for HAT though, nah I've never seen them do much of anything. They just hang onto their sector and keep their stations as-is. I might be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure the only time they gained another station was when I got a job to build it for them.

Mine have built several defense stations of their own. The problem is the gate to the Xenon sector constantly has 5 capitals on the other side and send one every 30 minutes or so.

I tried a defense station at the Xenon gate and got cleaned out on that go. My second station was at the super highway to the other subsector with a defense platform of six discs connected by defense bridges. It absolutely deletes things, including the Ks :black101:.

Now I plan to change the orientation from on-plane to vertical to make a true wall of death so things don't get as close to the station. I absolutely need that degree of firepower to keep the plot (now also a spacefuel factory) alive, so now I've got ~30m spacebux invested in adding two more wall of death platforms to cover while I rotate the original. Maybe during the next Argon defense wave instead of stealing their resupply ship I can try a disc-o-doom platform at the gate again.

What I'm saying is I need a better income stream because I can easily come up with station designs in the tens of millions of credits. And still would love it if we had a repository of station designs plans with photos

Their ownership doesn't expand but they will build stations in other neutral sectors like SCA does.

Looks like the Tides of Avarice NDA is gone. Some Youtubers posted new videos of the second new Battleship the Erlking. It has half a million hull hp and it's own special turrets. One main battery, 5L, 17M and the L turrets are special pulse turrets with 9.4km range that deal twice the damage of an Argon L plasma turret. We might get a lot new expansion info in the next few days.

Here's a video of the new ship.

Well, I decided to start a new game in preparation for ToA (seeing as I'm too bogged down in the damned Paranid civil war. Haven't even played most of the Split questline or any of the Terran one yet) and I'm liking the custom start options! It sucks to loae all my map info and my vast satellite network, but ah well. Cruising around in an Osaka isn't so bad

Anyway, I noticed that when I ordered the construction for a new solar plant, I couldn't make any shields or turrets for it. Is there something I'm missing (like, do I need the blueprints for THOSE now, too? Urgh) or was it just a glitch of some sort?

Oh also, does anyone know if you'll be able to salvage station wrecks in ToA? Since now that I've started again, I've once more found myself with a few SCA factories in Silent Witness XI to eventually clear out...and if I can get salvage out of it too...

You need the blueprints, yes. They aren't too expensive though.

And yes, station salvaging is going to be a thing. And since SCA is going to try and replace stations, they are basically a renewable resource.

Their fighters are neat because they're quite fast but have enough cargo to function as small freighters if you want them to, you can buy a pile of them and slap them on a station and they'll just spray wares all over the place.

There's https://gameglass.gg/ which will let you make lots of buttons and switches and things on any device with a touchscreen. They have lots of tailored bleeps and bloops for elite and star citizen. It might just about work for assigning flight controls to their keybinds, not sure how good that would be in practice. There are alternatives that might be more powerful or cheaper (some originally intended for running stage lighting I think?) but haven't played with them.

Hey, so regarding my new custom vanilla save (with my PHQ progress ported across, as well as my paranid questline up to the start of the Duke's Buccaneer section, immediately post-destruction of the Paranid symbol of peace brought over), I'm currently considering giving the CoH Terran questline a go, then buying ToA to do that questline.

But I figured I'd check first - do you think I should just play the CoH story, then buy into ToA (since at present I own SV+CoH), or buy ToA first? Since I'm not sure if there's anything in that expack which might be handy/applicable for the CoH storyline. Probably not I guess? But considering the CoH storyline involves the Yaki, I figured I should ask just in case (Since the Yaki are in ToA too, right?)

(Also, sorry if my post is a little incomprehensible...I'm not running on much sleep atm, so I'm all over the place)

ToA seems to be completely new factions. It doesn't touch the old ones. The Yaki stuff seems to be an extension of what CoH has for them.

OK cool, thanks! In light of that, I think I'll just play CoH, make sure to preserve the Yaki and then buy ToA at some point in the near future when I'm ready to jump into that storyline I guess. Thanks!

Is there any way of completely getting rid of the Khaak? Cheating, save file editing, modding, whatever? I just want them loving gone forever. There is some kind of issue in my game, it is a release save-game, where infinite amount of khaak ships are spawning in thin air (space) in Pious Mists IV. Nothing I do will stop them, they just simply keep coming. I have destroyed hundreds, if not thousands, of ships now and it is wearing down my massive fleets. I have lost over 100 Rattlesnakes as of now to the infinite conga line of Khaak ships. It is completely ruining my game.

I actually wrote a tool to pinpoint the hives in the game:

It's the worst loving mechanic they've ever introduced and they've never tweaked it or answered all the complaints about it. I also think there's a mod to prevent them from respawning, but I'm not sure the mod works with the new sectors (in fact my tool probably won't detect them in the new ones yet until I update it).

This sounds like an amazingly bugged mining escort mission which is the only thing I can think of where they just spawn in from thin air. Also, I didn't know they could output enough damage to threaten anything over M class.

I'd love a mod that just turned their ships into weak, nearly-harmless loot pinatas, so you actually want to keep finding Khaak ships. However, I get a feeling that could break other parts of the game, especially if they turn up somewhere in the story

Ah man...I was really digging the start to the "Stranded" storyline from ToA, but the very first quest to smuggle spaceweed bugged out on me - when I went to sell it, there were two spaceweed lines - one with zero value and one normal. Selling content of one changed the amount of the other, but I sold both and the quest never registered that I had offloaded the cargo.

I have actually found the hives in my savegame but I can't tell where they are actually located. Is there some reference somewhere that easily tells you in what system they are? I can find the location easily but not the system.

I have found the setting to stop them from respawning, set HiveStationMaxCount to 0 in the savegame. But now I want to find/remove the stations that already exists. I wonder if I can just simply remove the xml entry for the entire hive station.... let's see what happens.
