I'm sure all these memes will launch Morbius to a Snakes on a Plane-level success! As for it bombing, it made twice its budget, but that's still below what movies like that need to make to be considered successful apparently. It was the number one movie when it opened, but fell off dramatically. And isn't that what happens to all but a few movies post-COVID? I haven't been back to the theater.

Well the sword was always weirdly short. She doesn't really swing it, but kills everyone by stabs or throwing it (this might be mostly due to art limitation)

You can't really depict melee combat between characters whose heads are four times the size of their bodies. Otherwise you also have to explain why every attack isn't a headbutt (which I'm sure Thorsby would be fully capable of doing but I understand if he didn't want to bother)
