The crafting in elden ring is good because it's completely irrelevant. I think I would prefer it not existing but it's a good way to fill the world with supplies without making you feel like you NEED to scour this random corner of the open world in case you need those 3x great arrows later. The mistake Ubisoft aids etc does is I have to engage with that stupid poo poo since nobody knows how to make an action game without leveling mechanics and inventory weight anymore.
