The 8bitdo Pro 2 was on sale for £30 so I thought I’d pick it up as a Splatoon controller. Set the back paddles to B and X so I can jump and check the map without moving my thumb off the right stick and it works really well plus the controller is excellent and easily as good as people say Also testing it was the first time I’d played the game in a couple years and MAN I forgot how much I love it and how fun it is. Gonna have to stop myself from playing a ton so I don’t burn myself out before 3.

We’ll probably find out in the next Direct. I hope they do another beta. I’m excited to hear all the new music this one will have. I can’t get enough of weird rear end Splatoon music.

Please god, Nintendo, just let us put our choice of big and small abilities on any piece of gear, let us dress our squidkids and spec our squidkids independently, hell, even if you still have whatever irritating system for rolling specs on stuff it will be infinitely better if it's decoupled from how stuff looks. I feel like Nintendo wants people to just always be equipping whatever to look good and have the stats you have, but, that's just not how a lot of people think. Half of game design is figuring out how to meet people where they are.
