the only socialist organisations with any real rank and file are trotskyist - ala socialist alternative (no relation to the other organisations of the same name). vic soc is a big tent (dem soc) org founded with the aid of a few trotskyist groups, and they field some members in local councils, but nothing at the state / federal level. greens are soc dem at best.

anyone know anything about the "australian communist party" / CUDL? seemingly new org, pro stalin - a couple of different chapters, but doesn't appear to be a large rank & file. don't think they have any direct connection / lineage to the original australian communist party.
