Inu might also be a reference to M.D. Seeger, credited for the "opening rock guitars" in Earthbound M.D. Seeger was actually Shigeru Miyamoto M.D. Seeger might also be partial inspiration for the name W.D. Just reminding folks that the Live-A-Live remake is now out, if you want to encounter MEGALOMANIA in its native habitat and have yet to. It's pretty clearly one of the games that inspired Toby Fox.

according to the comments, for the 25th anniversary concert of Live A Live, they slipped in some Megalovania during the Megalomania part. Apparently toby was in the audience for this, and did not know they were going to do that, and absolutely lost his mind We could probably have an entire thread dedicated to "Toby fox achieves nerd dreams on a daily basis" like beating Sakurai at smash in his own home or getting his music that he originally designed after a classic game's music referenced by that company later on, or having his mpreg song get put into an official pokemon game Not sure if that last one is a nerd dream but hell, he did it

I have finally played this game. Then because I was a coward, looked up the snowgrave route instead of doing it myself. I now have two entirely baseless pieces of speculation. Spec 1: Noelle has used Snowgrave once before, it's where her sister went. Spec 2: Noelle's mother is named Carol.

Considering that the player can talk directly to her without using Kris during the battle I wonder if a genocide run player is able to draw out abilities that the characters don't know they have as a way of breaking the flow of the story Kris's X-Slash comes to mind, it definitely reminds me of how Sans gets attacked twice at the end of his fight in Undertale

There’s a rent notice in Asgore’s flower shop written by someone with the first initial “C.” Decent odds it’s Carol Holiday. And Noelle definitely has repressed trauma, but I don’t think she inadvertently killed her sister or anything of that scope, mostly because that’s too grim. I figure she maybe caused a car crash or injured Asgore or something similarly bad but not fatal.
