Poland’s National Security Bureau are meeting this evening. Not much to speculate on before then. The question isn’t if they were fired from Russia, it’s what is Poland going to do about it and can they convince NATO to join in.

Criss-cross posted:True enough, but anyone calling themselves "OSINT specialist" doesn't seem trustworthy at all. All they need is 8bux to remedy that! Ok, so the tail section shown in a picture, assuming it's even from the location, does seem to suggest a bonafide cruise missile. Cruise missiles can go off course and are being shot in the area. At this point I'm completely open to the idea of Russia (or someone in Russia) shooting missiles at Poland just to get a reaction. I mean, they hosed up those gas pipes, didn't they? I doubt they'll go full article 5, but who knows, maybe they will establish a limited protection/no fly zone close to their border or even send in some volunter corps over - which happen to be basically PL army units with different unit patches? Poland might establish a NATO no-fly large enough to cover Kyiv, and free up resources in the west to deploy to the east, is my guess. KitConstantine posted:Not lol at all Power Khan!!! They forgot to account for flight time and Earth's rotation or something? I'd ask what the missile guys are doing, but the answer is "being deployed to the front line."

Does it even matter who fired them? Either it's from Russia invading Poland's neighbour that hosed up with aiming and ended up killing two polish citizens, or its from Ukraine trying to shoot down missiles targeting its civilians that were shot by the country invading Poland's neighbour. From Poland's perspective, the sole reason these missiles killed two of its citizens is because Russia is invading Poland's neighbour.

Gros Tarla posted:Does it even matter who fired them? The only thing who fired it will affect is how severe the reprecussions are. Poland/Ukrainian relations arent to the point where Poland will attack over it, nor are they likely to sanction or take other administrative measures. An apology and reparations to the families will likely suffice. On the other hand, if it were russia, we're likely to see a response short of declaring war.

2 questions. 1. Even though we're attributing motors to models, aren't we also in the phase where Russia is just slapping whatever the gently caress they have on hand to fabricobble missiles together? 2. I assume that somewhere there are radar tracks in some system that show where they came from right? Also lol on Hungary, all the buddying up to Putin doesn't seem to do you much good does it. Also lol on Putin, blow up a pipeline of the one Eurozone leader that's in your corner.
