3 is the best game for chillin until a certain point and I'm still holding out for a version of 3 that's just the parts in Okinawa with all the story changed to not involve any yakuza plot or politics. Just chilling at the beach raising some orphans, solving their problems.

3 is weird because all of the Okinawa stuff is great but all of the Kamurocho stuff feels rushed and not that fun to run through. Still not a bad game, but it's not amazing like most other RGG games
|

I want this too but otoh it's hilarious when Kiryu's like "ok Haruka I gotta go back to Kamurocho, you hold it down here" and leaves her w/ like 10 orphans to look after

I just started playing Kiwami. Yakuza 0 was amazing, then I tried Like a Dragon, but bounced off it. Kiwami is super nice though. I have an issue though. I'm fasting right now, and it is really hard to eat the beef bowls and walk past the restaurants imagining the awesome Tokyo food.

Snake has a really powerful parry with a way too large window (imo) so if you've ever played a fighting game or have ok motorskills it can turn every encounter into (way too) easy mode. I think peak yakuza combat was 0 and 6 personally.

Husband and I played through 0 and are now on Kiwami, he's never played the series and is getting increasingly frantic about when Nishiki will come back to being a good guy Also I found out you can gently caress up at Karaoke hard enough that you straight up don't get the imagine spot
