I'd guess it's a backpack with a long articulating arm. You can definitely put palatial tags on wings but I haven't seen something that big before.

Why does it look like its eye is flashing? Is that just a reflection of the sky for a split second as it's moving its eye or is it blinking its nictitating membrane or something?

Yeah I'm not a bird guy but I thought they can "blink" with that semi-transparent membrane?

Anyway. Sound on.

Dude, ix-nay on the oice-vay.

I can’t stop watching this! It’s like the grey attempted to do a bathtime dance, got stuck that way, then keeps telling everyone to gently caress off because it feels kind of nice anyway.

Also, why the gently caress does YouTube think I would enjoy something titled “the moment my cat was eaten by a coyote” that appears to be ring camera footage? And why can’t I mark it to hide videos like that?

Yes, YouTube, I watch videos about adorable animals or animals being jerks, but I seldom watch anything being killed since I find it just as upsetting now as I did as a kid.
It rewards strength of reaction, not quality

I would be thrilled if my grey would do this. She's 22 years old and has still not managed to work out how to wash herself in anything but her water bowl.

She cannot actually wash herself in her water bowl, all she can do is daintily tip her toes and flick a few drops around with her beak. We have tried so many ways of washing her - in the sink, in a shower, using a spray bottle set to a fine mist, we even got her a parrot-sized version of those little budgie baths that clip over the cage door, and nothing works dammit!

She's just a perennially grubby bird.

Come on! That crow totally deserved a treat for pulling off the lid and dropping the star in. That was literally thinking outside, then inside, the box.

Was getting coffee at the park on Australia day when I watched a Noisy Minor fly into the cafe, grab a sachet of sugar, spear the middle of it with its beak and then fly off into the distance. It was such a smooth operation it knew exactly what it was going for and how to time it so that it wasn't interrupted mid heist. That bird has talent.

And also, now, sugar.

During one of the recent freezes in Kansas, I was in Wal-mart, checking out the after Christmas discount cat treats, and heard a bird chirp. It turned out to be a young starling. This was in the gardening area, so I figured it would like to leave, so stood by the automatic door to keep it open. That bird was like,” Are you crazy? It’s perfect in here. I have everything I need.” After that, i realized that someone had spilled a giant bag of birdseed in the wild birdseed aisle.

STILL TRYING HARD
Some baby birds don't know how to get food in their mouths unless their parents put it in their. I've watched baby magpies and currawongs stand over food then look right at it before crying for their parent to come over, pick it up and put it in its mouth.
