Pleasantly surprised Kate's back! Nice to see Rtd not ignore the modern eras where he wasn't running the show.

So this is a surprising amount of Who shot without the Doctor being present.

The Kate/Ruby stuff makes me think that Ruby is a planted companion with an agenda.

RTD is a fan of the show in general, so I can definitely imagine that he was excitedly watching the Moffat era week to week happy to be seeing new episodes where he didn't already know exactly what was going to happen.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I just want to skip over the return of 10 and get to Ncuti already.

No, same. I’ll watch, but I don’t care for the Tennant victory lap.

The Tennant return really just feels like a cynical “look guys the old Doctor Who you like is back, please start watching again” grab.

I mean I’m gonna watch every second, but still.

Well, of course I know him.
He's me.
I’m still holding out hope that 14 is actually a big misdirect that won’t be around very long, but the cynic in me knows it’s just a desperate bid to regain viewers before Ncuti.

These set pics look like the cliff top where 13 regenerated, so I’m wondering if there’s a lead through of it returning to that spot.

I was thinking the same thing. There must be a connection. Like a reset or something?

I would quite like for that to mean Ncuti is officially 14 after all due to some time shenanigans. Wasting a whole regeneration on this feels so wrong.

Moffat self-contained episodes are usually his best, but on the other hand, the stuff I've read about his recent work have me... apprehensive.

The Dracula miniseries he did in 2020 was impressively bad, even if there was good acting in it.

Inside man was quite jaring in that he attempted to mix his humor and style quite heavily into what would be a heavy serious crime drama and it did not work.

Think he's much better suited to doctor who weather he likes to attempt it or not, and I know this is the spoilers thread and I don't wont to derail too much but his very recent Instagram post.

Some of the worst television I've ever seen, and proof that somehow Moffat and Gatiss bring the worst out of each other.
