Sim City 3000 is one of my favorite soundtracks ever, but I don't even know where to begin to find more songs or bands that sound like Night Life, Sim Broadway, and UpDown town. "Jazz" is way too vague, but if anyone wants to give any of those three songs a listen and help me out, I'd appreciate it. If I had to pick one song to represent what I want, it'd be Sim Broadway one it gets going.

I like rhapsody in blue, but the Piano sections don't have the big, loud, upbeat energy I get from Sim Broadway. I'll check out the Polygon piece. Edit: interesting interview about the Sims, which I'd never really played, but I gave the sound track a listen and it's not quite the same. Frustratingly, telling streaming services to play music similar to Sim City 3000 is just getting me various OSTs. I would like some recommendations for music similar to this specific track. I have been listening to both kaytranda and little dragon and I can't find anything I like as much as this. Does anyone have a recommendation for a music podcast, specifically one that is just music and not talking about music? Something like the now defunct 23 minutes of Ska. I'd prefer a wide swath of genres but if I needed to specify I'd be looking for hip hop, punk and metal. Having a podcast that is just auto downloaded saves me when I'm not in service range and also removes the choice paralysis involved with picking a station in a streaming platform. Thank you!

help me find an artist: i think he's a zamrock musician from the 60s but I'm not positive I remember his album cover is just his face, smiling, wearing a white cowboy hat, with a pink background maybe? maybe his name is george or charles and his last name starts with O ive been poking around youtube and google using those search parameters but I can't find him

Thanks for mentioning Schnittke. It's my first time hearing about him, and exploring his life/work has had a pretty significant emotional impact on me. God drat, declared clinically dead after a stroke, and then continuing to compose for years afterwards. I'm listening to piano sonata no.1, written right after the first stroke, I think, and it's hit me like a tonne of bricks. My dad plays and teaches piano and we thought we were gonna lose him to a stroke last year.

Currently features stuff like Megadeth's Holy Wars, BfmV's Room 409, and the likes of LL Cool J's Ripper Strikes Back or 50 Cent's Your Life's on the Line. Anyone got recommendations for something like Reverberation Radio? My favorite ones are the playlists that have Townes Van Zandt, Leonard Cohen, Harry Nilson, Neil Young in them. I don't think any of them have anything heavier than Sonic Youth on them. Looking for something that has the same playlist feel to it. I don’t really know how to describe them other than songs like 16 Tons by Tennessee Ford, Another Cog in the Machine by The Cog is Dead and We All Lift Together by Keith Power. Songs about work but have that cadence to work to,if that makes sense. Like, Working in a Coal Mine is a song about work but it’s too upbeat and chipper.
