i dropped by my local bahn mi joint for lunch today mostly so i could tell them that their website had completely stopped taking takeout orders less than $15. like you can’t even say you’ll pay cash, it just flat rejects it. apparently only for takeout, too

almost all of the places i actually care about eating from are run by people with thick accents. in person it's fine, but on the phone some combination of their accent, poor audio quality, and my lovely ears combine to make it pretty difficult. it's fine if you're eating at the restaurant, but phone orders are a big no for me. if i cut out all those places, i'm left with just pizza and mexican basically

i've rarely done any food places ever since 2020, i've upped my cooking game and i'm just completely used to meal prep / cooking stupid things for myself i really should go check out the local korean place though..
