The only thing I hate about fleet missions is that I seem to get all of them as guild missions preceded by station missions, which pay well but take forever.

I've completely drained the universe of claytronics and turret components doing them over and over.

I just cancel these after doing the fleet mission unless the reward is really good (like a fully stocked L miner or exceptional weapon chamber)

Take one, cancel it and fly out of the sector and back in, bam a new set of missions to pick. It's annoying but worth picking.

Also I managed to wring the terran econ dry of all silicon carbide, oops. Time to step in with my own fabs I guess.

the fleet missions are such a handout, lol. "Oh, you have a huge pile of money? How would you like click a few times to double it?" At least you don't have to faff around getting the loadout correct anymore.

Oh man, I'm incredibly tempted to do so as well. :D I haven't actually bothered reaching the Boron yet - just building my industry a little, in preparation. Do you need to wait until after the herald missions, to board the ship without causing bugs? And... I assume the ship is actually good, right? Since knowing the Boron, its guns probably shoot flowers :v:

Yasur with the an exceptional Drag mod is was a poo poo to fly because everytime it hit 20km/s in travel drive it just turned off travel drive

The only downside is that if you've started the season on one save, and import a new save, you'll wipe any personal progress you've made ( your team points which determines where you're at with the prize pool at the end I think - I'm sitting at over 369k, and any Operation specific resources gained - your earned permanent rewards should be unaffected and available to any saved game online or offline ). I don't know if it effects your contribution to the team which depending on their level of activity may or may not matter. Once the season is over ( and presumably either Ventures goes back in the oven for a bit or they go ahead and release ) you're all good to import a fresh save.


Also I just had the nastiest Venture Experience. I had multiple invader ships dump poo poo loads of laser towers at a couple of my high volume gates, lost mostly just sector patrol Katanas that wander in and get blasted, couple of S transports and several L transports were mauled. The exceptional mods dropped by one of the invaders was a small consolation.

I'll have to add Maja Dust and Spaceweed to my Spacefuel production. I'll tell you what though, I'm tired of playing whack-a-mole aborting embryonic Vigor wharves and shipyards in Windfall. I was under the impression that it was possible to find Vigor missions ( I'm so tired of all these Star Wars ) when scanning data leaks on Teladi stations but I gave up after an hour, and now I just have a small Capital Fleet in each system to enforce Roe vs Wade.

It's the Casino Welfare module, you need to have built a Gambling Den first and done the requisite research which includes scanning various habitats and planting bugs on patrons of the different races ( there's a short mission chain to unlock the Gambling Den as well ). In and of itself it simply increases your worker population gain, very handy if you want to set up a shipyards in a system with no worker population. As the new Don of Windfall it's important to let everyone know that it's business as usual despite the slight disagreement with the previous owners. People need to know that there's somewhere where they can catch a show, wrassle with a one armed bandit and indulge in some of the finer vices available in the commonwealth.

I created a defense platform gatecamping the Tharka's Cascade gate in Hatikvah's Choice. It's awesome. When I'm in sector, the sheer volume of fire is hilarious to watch and when I'm out of sector it kills ships so quickly it sometimes appears that the gate is just shooting wrecks into Hatikvah's choice.

( Apparently they've been fixed for now )

oof, that's bad luck! I'm always worried about a bad fate befalling my 'unique' ships, so I tend to have them locked-up tight in my secure corporate HQ carpark, unless I'm using it myself. Good to hear that the towers aren't going to be an issue going forward, though (for now...)

I've noticed that whenever I jump from the Boron homespace part of the universe into Sanctuary of Darkness, whichever ship I'm in immediately starts taking damage, and I'm pretty sure that if I go through the sector enough, it's gonna mean that my ship is gonna be destroyed.
This is after the highway mission that's supposed to fix it so that you don't fly through the dangerous parts.

I started a new game (as a Boron) with the intent of getting into the venture beta, but I'd forgotten how lovely the early game is when you need to get enough money to be able to do anything at the PHQ.

The special variant of the Moray, I think, that you get at the end of the Oberth quest, can be modded to do 28km/s.

The laser tower bug seems to be fixed as they disabled this mission to show up in your game. And it's just a regular boarding op, they forgot to flag the ship as impossible to board.

Yes. Sometimes you need to leave that space and come back though.
