This isn't affecting anyone that would be doing those things in the first place, they have long since gone to much shadier spaces to conduct activity, or are just out in the open in ways that are less obvious due to the amount of users (IE facebook) I'm really glad I mostly stick to doing design commissions or gamedev stuff, but I can easily see how I would be affected by this considering a bunch of the artists I follow are panicking because patreon decided some boobs and buttholes are not okay now.

So Visa Mastercard whoever is out the money like two weeks into the process. They then go to the payment processor / business to get the money back. So the dispute process isn't customer vs business like everyone thinks it is. Its the business trying to convince Visa that actually they don't owe Visa money. An argument Visa is usually not amenable to. I worked for a payment processor for a bit and if a business does absolutely everything right with not a single mistake or misstep they have around a 20% chance of winning a dispute

This had the side effect of connecting a ton of artists with models all over the world, so there's a big community of artists and models that will get hosed over by this because Evangelicals can't stand knowing people are looking at dicks, hoo-ha's and nipples.
