Staging is mainly to show the proportion of a particular sized bed to the bedroom, dining table to the dining area, sofa to the living area, etc. and to decorate it to make it feel less sterile, not to fully furnish the space. Staging companies have a set amount of furniture (which apparently always includes an Eames lounge chair) that can be requested by the realtor/owner.

There were a shitload made so they're surprisingly cheap. In any case, there's only one question they have to answer: did you bring booze. The Zillow search of the day is "regency" like 90% of Regency styled houses have been gut-renovated into a generic "modern" aesthetic (mid-century Regency is closely related to MCM and Art Moderne but it doesn't really line up with 21st century tastes) so I had to cast a wider net here. first of all, I trust that everyone here has seen this house, right? Pretend I posted every single photo from the listing. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2055-S-Joshua-Tree-Pl-Palm-Springs-CA-92264/18030011_zpid/ someone actually bought it last year and is trying to sell it again, but for $700k higher. Looks like they renovated the kitchen (which is fine as it was a bland 80s kitchen before) but didn't do much else to disturb the time capsule. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1415-31st-St-NW-Washington-DC-20007/429861_zpid/ English Regency built by Boss & Phelps and designed by Harvey Baxter (1941) - completed just prior to the US getting into WWII. note the wall sconces, that's a theme in everything regency minibar under the stairs! neo-angle tub with obligatory gold fixtures https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/226-Provencal-Rd-Grosse-Pointe-Farms-MI-48236/88403927_zpid/ French Regency built in 1940, one of many built in Grosse Pointe and greater Detroit in this style.
