#4 Motherfuckers! Last thread.

15 billion links so far!

:siren: A few ground rules:

1) If discussion of a game goes over a page, PLEASE make a thread in Games and link to it instead of continuing to derail this thread.
2) If you find a dead link/repeat/needs something added(like an epilepsy warning)/something dumb I did, let me know here or via PM or in dumb blog.
3) Please add a short description to what you link :) .
4) Keep the .exes to 0 please. Flash, Java and Unity are preferred.
5) Idle Games Thread.

:siren: At the end of each link, after the description, is 2-3 letters that describes the game. ctrl+f/whatever mac users do, type in the 2-3 letter code and find stuff! Make sure it's like (AC) and not ac, for example.

100% Complete is a little metroidvania style game about collecting all the collectibles!!! Took me about 30 minutes to beat. Does not have a map, though, which is a little annoying!

Milford the Ghosts is a side-scrolling shooter about a ghost name Milford who can shoot himself at randomly generated enemies in order to kill them!

Flood Runner 4 was posted on Kong last night. It's another improvement in the line of Flood Runner games, which a lot of us have probably played. Fun little action platformers about running as far as possible and racking up points and whatnot.

Oh right, these were part of Newground's Stencyl Jam 2012. Deadline was 7/31, and they were created using the Stencyl platform (check out that Scratch-esque screenshot!). I'm a little interested in their HTML5 stuff, though not actually sure if any of the games are good (actually, just tried out Milford and thought it was pretty fun for a random game and a quick run-through).

Picture Logic has taken more of my life than I thought possible. It offers both one-color and multi-color picross - more puzzles get added every week! I also love the interface - it shades the row and column you're on, which very few picross sites do.

(Also, love the thread - thanks so much for all your work, Wet Bandit!)

I love the picross games but having to double click instead of shift or something to mark an X and not having the numbers automatically cross off when you finish lines is killing it for me.

Has rebuild or rebuild 2 been mentioned yet? Decent attempt at making a zombie survival simulator that has you trying to rebuild a town while managing supplies and stuff. The second one is definitely better though. Much more management and events.

[STR] I guess. There's definitely strategy to it but after winning the first time it loses a lot of challenge.

Pretty much this. I had 78 survivors at one point and the stupid cult thing that formed sacrificed all but 10 of em in one night.

It's been a while since I played it, but I'm pretty sure they also tear down the walls in a few places to let the zombies reclaim squares.

They're both in the dumb blog (DB). Which is weird as #1 I have achievements for it on Kong but it's linked from the site it's made from on the (DB) :iiam:.

While revisiting old stuff is fun and it's a great game, search the (DB) first please :).

Hoping to get (DB) sorted tomorrow. Betting it's some sort of character limit. After that's sorted my next goal is to go through every game and see if there's badges/medals for it and add a (BM) tag to it.

ed: I'm thinking like say there's badges (Kongregate) and medals (Newgrounds) so it'd look like (BM), with links to the game in the tag, just to clarify my dumb thinking. I'd also like to link to the author's site THEN have (BM) at the end for you point whores.

Would that work for everyone? I know taking 5 seconds is hard work and authors make more money from sites like NG and Kon but it doesn't feel right not linking to their site. Might just be me I dunno.

In my limited experience, Stencyl is a lot like Game Maker in that it seems like a good way to design games without learning a coding language until you're three hours in and nothing is acting like you're telling it to act and you flip the goddamn table and give up.

But...but I guess some people like it.

I loved Digital Upgrade (and never managed to win it even once) so I had to give this a go. It's not that bad, I see what they've tried to do with it but it's certainly not as good as the original. Making combos gives you points to spend on "powers", so if you're a seasoned player of the original you'll find it very easy to have enough points to clear entire rows, columns or 3x3 blocks regularly, making the game very easy. I beat it on my first attempt, didn't feel terribly satisfying.

I'm a big fan of Digital Upgrade too. They've clearly put quite a bit more work into the sequel but I think I prefer the simplicity of the first game, which I still am unable to beat :/

While that's already in the main list, I haven't played it since the updates and now it's on mobile! Very nice. Might have to get.

I forget the first Digital Upgrade but this one doesn't seem that bad (haven't played much of it yet, though).

no mention of "Ginormo Sword" yet? I once had a thread about the game that is archived now.

http://babarageo.com/flash/ginormo/

Its an action RPG with Atari style graphics. You play as a knight who goes around from area to area killing monsters and getting money and gems you use to build up your sword and make it bigger and longer. It is highly addictive.

I loved and hated GS. Getting to old to be clicking poo poo millions of times.

(DB) wise, I might have to split the first 1500 links into 3 parts. Trying to think of better options, like maybe having separate categories in the blog then having this OP link those,or maybe both. That way if you want tower defense games, or just wanna click on something random, click the (TD) link or the main list and there you go.

That ginormo sword game is awful. The mouse control is too sensitive, and you can die in an instant unless you're super careful. When it takes 500 clicks of the mouse to kill a boss, your hand slips a millimetre and you're dead, it stops being fun very quickly.

I'm not sure if it's been posted yet or not, but bubble tanks tower defense 2 is out on Armor Games. Its ok if you liked the rest of the games. Problem is it get pretty repetitive. All it takes on the open maps is placing a couple area bursts at the entrance and a couple ghost towers to take care of the rest. Upgrade the area towers as fast as you can an voila! You when!!
