Actually, I respectfully disagree with you there. For as obviously flawed as this game is, there ARE a lot of really good things about it. The presentation and atmosphere, for example, are the most immediate things. No other Yu-Gi-Oh game goes out of the way to really make
Thinking of it now, why DID Homelander go after Becca? She doesn't fit that "mother" fetish he had, nor is she superhuman. Aren't those the two things Homelander's always looking for?

we can't see the entire upperbody of course but the part we do is intact, and surprisingly clean.

Now this is too much :effort: already but if you watch the popping in slow mo you can see that the guard's body falls down, it just twists a little bit. At least that's what I see.

Alright enough, it'll be pretty obvious next episode one way or another.

Anyway Kimiko's brother had similar crush poo poo telekinesis. He did it to the beer can with one finger. I don't think he did it to people because he wasn't blood thirsty enough, but also cleanly popping heads seem to take finesse that no tk user has been shown to have yet.

He doesn't see normal humans as people, he sees them as playthings. He forgot her the moment he walked out of the room. It wasn't any different to him than jerking off to a random woman in the internet.

It's not Cindy popping heads. The Church being behind it makes the most sense, but it isn't gonna be Cindy. If they had Cindy under enough control to pop specific heads Lamplighter wouldn't have immediately gone into self preservation mode when she got out of her cell.

The show writers would have included enough information to date to allow us to definitely solve the mystery of who popped all those heads. I can't believe no one has worked it out yet.

The Boys are on a crusade against Vought, they're a nice tool to weaken them for the Church to take over

I'm imaging there is some sort of requirement for the head popping to happen, and they can't just do it to everybody.

Yeah, the slow buildup and all the internet memes radicalizing him, and him crying right after shooting the guy, that's so good. Hard to watch, but very topical and important.

And then the scene of Homelander and Stormfront being like "thoughts and prayers, we're gonna make a donation to the dead man's family, but anyways AMERICA AMERICA"

This show isn't pulling punches and its so much better for trying to be more than just a superhero parody.

Homelander got his most human moment in my opinion when he confronted Becca about how she was raising Ryan. It's tough to avoid the fact that he's absolutely right, raising Ryan that way is going to gently caress him up. When she tell him they can raise Ryan together and he can't answer because he might start crying, Starr nailed it yet again.

It's a testament to the acting and the showrunners that this deep into Season 2 they have a scene where just for a moment you can actually believe that Homelander might do the right thing and be reasonable and go for a good outcome. And then they snatch that hope away.

Becca is the strongest and most sympathetic character in this show, in her place I'd be a painkiller addict or a suicide. The fact that she's managed to raise an apparently cheerful and well adjusted kid is astounding.

"Scientologists are goofy as hell" is such an odd plotline and so completely irrelevant to 2020 compared to the rest of the show

I am skeptical they can do it, but I am HOPEFUL they tie it in to the main plot in a satisfying way with the finale.

If they were just establishing the Season 3 conflict with all these scenes I'll be disappointed

Yeah, I like Chace Crawford a lot in this. The only other thing I’ve seen him in was Gossip Girl where his only job was to stand around and look pretty. Which he was very good at, but it’s not exactly the most impressive thing ever.

Agreed that she is great. Yeah she loves that kid because she’s a mom but another large part is trying her best to stop another monster like Homelander being created. She has very clear motivations and logic. Is she infallible? No. She’s doing everything she can even though she is frightened out of her mind. She might have left with Butcher if she genuinely thought the kid would grow up right. Her silly rear end choices for movies aren’t just to show the kid that he can overcome the odds but to convince herself she will succeed. I’m shocked more people don’t sympathise with her. I would also have OD’d or gone bonkers in seconds. Felt bad for her.

Absolutely. Homelander is truly dangerous and in no way admirable. Starr’s performance is loving stellar and elevates the show. It’s one of if not THE pivotal performance and could easily be boring or silly but Starr makes you fascinated every moment on screen. Lots of great actors but Starr is THE big bad. When he’s gone the show will be over if they are smart.

The comic reveal is Black Noir was made from the same DNA as Homelander, and is basically his twin who's crazy af. He was made to be a contingency for Homelander. He did most of the really vile poo poo Homelander was blamed for, like raping Butchers wife and raping and murdering a gently caress ton of people. Homelander himself did some really bad poo poo too, but when confronted by Butcher about the rape allegations he was like, "that wasn't me." Then Black Noir takes off his mask and starts generally being crazy.
