Listen here, Jack. Here's the deal. The dogs are better off at the shelter than in your tiny apartment. They have food, they have cages, and sorry, it's not the word, but they have space, they are fine. They are fine. I have two dogs of my own, and I'd never put them in an apartment. That's on me.

There's on old Soviet joke.

During the 80s, amidst the political crisis and USSR on the verge of ruin, the party higher-ups decide to summon Stalin's spirit to get some advice. They find a decrepit medium who still remembers pre-revolution séances, follow his directions, and Stalin's spirit starts speaking. They ask him what they should do to save the country, and Stalin replies, execute all Jews and cyclists. The party leaders are flabbergasted. One of them asks, why cyclists? Stalin replies, I'm glad you don't have questions about the first part.

dogs aren't rare books, they are animals that have co-evolved with humans for 30,000 years and denying a person a dog because their shitass capitalist society forces them to live in an apartment is loving mean as hell

also lmao how loving ignorant are you, do you even have a loving passport? have you seen how people in other countries treat dogs? a doggo in an apartment with a loving owner has it better than 99% of dogs on earth

didn't realize that it's somehow not actually possible to take dogs outside for walks or to go play in the park when you live in an apartment. drat. idk wtf i've been doing these past 10 years, but i should probably give our dog back to the rescue shelter we got her from to be safe. thanks for the tip comrade

Do you not work? Because yeah if you have a mid to large dog that has to stay inside until you get home to walk it then yes, give it back to the shelter.

Actually let me more directly answer the question. If you have no yard and work, such that the dog must be inside all day until you get home, that is abuse and you should not have a dog. Please think of what's best for the animal instead of pitching a fit because someone pointed out your mistakes on the internet.
