Given that people actually have to pay for electricity, intentionally spiking CPU usage is straight up theft no matter how small the ultimate cost to the end user. Not to mention the reckless waste of resources from consuming extra energy just to piss off people who don't want to watch your ads. Like obviously none of that poo poo matters to anyone but it's still pretty hosed up.

Taking this argument to a lawyer to see if we can take it further and start suing game devs for refusing to optimize their files and requiring 150gb downloads for their games on Steam which is theft of both my free data before hitting my ISP's datacap and theft of my SSD space which I paid for!!1!

Finally got to the part in the Dan Olsen video about the cleanup section of the documentary.
