Didn't this movie take 10 years to get made?

How many soft reboots has the DC cinematic universe been through now?

DC’s attempt at a cinematic universe is the best of the Marvel competitors (remember the Monsters Universe, lol?) but it’s still nowhere near the MCU in terms of the metrics studios want to see.

I watched the Black Adam movie and it was a (clumsy) story about a colonised country rising up against their invaders stripping their resources and putting them under military rule, and Johnson 's character ultimately chooses not to be a dictator to his country. Is it considered a woke movie to that usual crowd, or nah because Johnson' s character is a big dude who kills people?

That guy has been whining since his game came out. It was 'okay' and only really got popular once a ton of people got it cheap or for free with PS+. Once people began talking about it as a flawed game potentially worthy of iteration and a sequel he cried about that not being possible because people didn't buy the game for full price in the first quarter after its release.

It would be like if Miyazaki's response to Demon's Souls being a sleeper hit that found a cult following and built momentum would be to just spend years crying that fans cost him Demon's Souls 2, and really it was Sony's fault the final planned area wasn't included, and really if you wanted a 2nd Souls game, you should have bought it at full price and now he could never make another Souls game because Sony owns the rights and they're mean.

It's also funny because the dude chose to release a flawed game in an already oversaturated category at the tail end of a fad.

Yea, Days Gone wasn't great, but there were parts of it that were good. It was one of those games that a potential sequel could have really worked well.

If a cop catches you with lockpicks in public for any reason in any context whatsoever, they'll get you with intent and it would be challenging to fight that in court. Doesn't even matter if it's legal to own them in your state. Cops are not required to know the law and it's no problem for them to explain away arresting and charging you with a crime.

Regardless, states where it's definitely illegal: Nevada, Ohio, and Virginia have a thing called "prima facie" which means "guilty until proven innocent" when it comes to posessing lockpicking tools. You have to prove you aren't going to use them for anything illegal, which is a hell of a thing to do in court. Mississippi claims they are legal unless you "conceal them." So they'll get you for having them in your pocket. Potentially even having them in a case like that image above as well if the cop wants to gently caress with you.

Now that guy bragging about owning lockpicks and having robbed houses prior is a good way to be targeted by cops. They'll use that facebook post to prove intent if they were to later find him with those outside of his house.

I know this was more than a week ago, but the pic with the lock picks has additional lock picks under glass in the background and decks of playing cards on top of the glass so likely they're just lightly trolling with a pic in the store or it's a different set.

I'm officially my company's locksmith and I do dare to carry my covert companion as well as a full pick set in my work backpack, Texas law is pretty clear on this part (and I'm genuinely a white hat lock picker). I leave them home when traveling between states, though. Also, almost nobody picks locks for burglary/robbery purposes. It's really odd how some lock manufacturers hate the locksport community with a passion, and Lockpicking Lawyer has to prevent people from photographing his face when he speaks as people have tried to find him with private investigators, tried to send him GPS tracking devices, etc.

It's unfortunate but not that surprising. Manufacturers have long depended on general ignorance of locks and security in general to make sales. LPL is quite popular, and show the normies exactly how useful these products really are.

Schubalts posted:

In some versions of the old story, Eve was Adam's third wife. Originally the first man and first woman were two parts of the same whole being, joined back-to-back with two faces, four arms, four legs. This was not great for conversation and companionship among other things, so they were then divided into two individuals - Adam and Lilith, male and female.*

Lilith, created as an equal part of humanity, refused to be subservient to Adam in all sorts of ways but it's specified that she particularly didn't like banging in the missionary position all the time - she wanted to ride cowgirl, which Adam refused to do because he wanted to be The Man. So she called him a whiny manchild and bailed on the Garden, going out into the wilderness and becoming a figure of legend, demonized by subsequent mythology.

Adam started blubbering to God about being lonely, so God sent three angels to bring Lilith back (which didn't work, because she just laughed in their faces). Next God pulled a rib from Adam's chest and formed it into a second wife with bones, blood, organs, skin, hair, etc. This was apparently a pretty disgusting process because it totally grossed Adam out and he couldn't look at her without remembering what he'd seen and gagging. That was a total boner-killer and he refused to go near her. It's not mentioned what happened to her. She's never named, and it's possible she was returned to dust (seems harsh) or allowed, like Lilith, to go out into the world out of Eden.

God rolled His eyes and tried the rib thing again, but this time putting Adam to sleep so he wouldn't see the sausage get made. This worked, and since Adam was made first and Eve made from him she was willing to go along with his fragile masculinity nonsense and they were happy. The rest of the story proceeds as written.

* this is first recorded from about the 8th century and is probably some kind of alchemical allegory - alchemy was super mystical and some branches were way into the idea of achieving perfection by rejoining the male and female halves of humanity into one perfect ascended being.
