Will forever be bitter about Ottawa losing a first for that NTC bullshit while the Blackhawks get the kid glove treatment for every infraction

It still seems like whatever got Perry sacked is objectively the bad thing, and the fact that they don't want to publicly disclose that kinda proves the point
so gently caress Perry, as part of him still getting money they should be allowed to say "well he's getting 500k because the league thinks it was just some light sexual harassment" or whatever it was he did

Kuzy has looked pretty good in Carolina. I've been following him since he's one of my favorite recent Caps, despite his off-ice issues. Not 7.8 mil a year good, but it still seems like that gamble might pay off for their playoff aspirations this year.

I was at the game tonight, and the whole goddamn area erupted for his goal. Then again when the announcer mentioned it was his first with the Canes.

Carolina might be a bunch of jerks, but the fans like our group.

Jake Oettinger will have a .893 save percentage after tonight..

if the playoffs go sideways the Stars will have a big decision to make in the off-season. He torpedoed their chances to win last year with god awful performances against Seattle (which they survived) and Vegas (which they did not survive) and the fanbase has just about had all they can stomach from him this season.

I remember the Stars were criticized for doing the 3 year bridge contract with him after his historic performance in the playoffs against Calgary a couple years back but it's looking like a very prudent decision now.

Can't you just park at a nearby casino and walk? Or are garages not free any more? It's been a while since I've been to Vegas

Nah all of the good properties started charging for parking in the last couple years, though it's often free for Nevada residents.

The Tropicana Hotel advertises free parking for non-guests and it's about a 15 minute walk to the rink. In the past the places that did offer free parking at certain times would often close the parking lots for sporting event nights though, you might want to call ahead and inquire if you can.

The first time I went to a Vegas Golden Knights game we walked from the Hard Rock Hotel (now the Virgin Hotel) which advertises free parking for non guests as well but is a slightly longer walk at 35+ minutes.. I wouldn't recommend walking down that way at night though, we've heard mixed reviews on how safe that is lol

**that being said you can find day parking at most of the strip casinos for like $20. Not sure what your plans are but it might be nice if you want to visit the strip to just park your car at the Bellagio or w/e and tour around for a bit before the game..

I'm so old i don't remember ever paying for parking in Las Vegas, Then again the last time i was there was before resort fees.

We paid $55/night for the MGM grand + unlimited buffet and i think the resort fees alone are more than that now.

amazing what happens when 2 companies buy up every hotel.

I don't suppose you can get free parking with a casino card and a minimal amount of play? Like rolling $20 through a slot machine might still be the cheapest parking. Really no idea what Vegas is like now though, last time I went was before they had sports teams.

yeah if you have enough tier credits to get out of the entry level tier.. It's tens of thousands of dollars worth of casino play to get there though..

He's looking great, pretty sure he's hit the post in both his first games. They have him on a line with Kuzy and Necas for now, and they seem to be clicking for guys who hardly know each other. Necas has had some struggles this year because he gets a little too fancy at times, so shaking things up a little could be good for him, too.

I'd expect to see Guentzel playing with Aho and Teravainen soon.

oh poo poo actually one more thing (that scams everyone including me so I'm telling you now) is that the sporting venues in Vegas have strict bag policies where anything larger than a very small purse gets rejected at the gate and you have the choice of either tossing it or renting a locker from them for $20. See the following:

https://www.t-mobilearena.com/plan-your-visit/bag-check-policy

No bags or backpacks will be permitted in into the venue except for small clutches (9”x5”x2” max). Please see specific event page at Upcoming Events for more information on specific events that may enforce a modified bag policy.

Do not let them scam you, leave that poo poo in your hotel room and carry your stuff in your pockets or hands lol

I was at the game and the atmosphere was electric. Vibes were off the charts.

- UPL is H1M
- Byram is extremely good and has 5 points in his 4 games with the Sabres
- The Islanders have been outscored 7-0 in their last two games lol they were 8-2-0 in their last ten before tonight somehow!
- Detroit lost to Arizona 4-1 (lol) so the Sabres are 3 points out of WC2
- If Washington loses tonight and the Sabres beat Detroit again on Saturday… :getin:

Only one of these three teams is getting literally the best goaltending and giving up the fewest goals in the entire league.

The Dirty Burger posted:

It’s cruel that they do this to you guys every March :smith:

They missed by one point last season when they were scoring goals like crazy but had bad goaltending and defense. Now they’re finally back to scoring goals but have good defense and literally the best goaltending in the entire league. Their power play has continued to improve and their PK is mid instead of literally bottom of the barrel. The Vibes rn are immaculate.

Just taking a quick look, of goalies who have played at least 40 games this season UPL is third in GAA (2.38) and sixth in SV% (.915) with five shutouts. Since Dec 30th he’s led all goalies in GAA and SV% and the Sabres have given up the least goals in the entire league.

Edit: I should also note that the Sabres’ PP mostly had success in the first half of last season. Starting in January their PP goals started to dry up and it continued into the beginning of this season. Much better for them to be consistently improving now, when they have an actual chance of breaking the curse.
