I was looking for background noise while working the spreadsheet mines and watched a real estate presentation on "the future of rentals". They seemed unconcerned with driving forces behind the trends, or the conclusions it was leading to. To be expected from rent seekers.

Anyone have any documentaries on more dense housing? Single family homes can be nice and all, but I'd like to know more about what has been done/is being done/is being planned to make areas more livable and resource efficient.

Seemed like a pretty accurate portrayal of events from the couple of minutes in the trailer. Of course they're gonna dramatize it.

It's one thing to dramatize real events, another thing entirely to blatantly lie about the effects (looking at you Helen Caldicott )

I suppose "operate" in the direct sense was an inaccurate term to use, but the government is still responsible for letting private companies operate nuclear reactors without proper oversight and regulation.

Regardless, if your main takeaway from Fukushima was "oh no, now people will be less positively inclined towards nuclear power" (which was a pretty common sentiment around these parts back in 2011 at least), then I think it's worth taking a moment to consider if any government (or private company) you know of seems like it should be trusted to not make similar or even worse oversights in the name of profit (and if your answer is "yes", does that still hold true under all conceivable future administrations?).
